"You never know who it is mate"
Discussion
So yesterday, midnight, take the DB7VV for a drive to cambridge from london. Driving down a two-lane london road, 40 limit, get to a traffic light behind some green n-reg saloon, lights go green and he heads off relatively quickly but still too slow for my liking at that time of night.
I pop round him at about 50, and see a barrage of blue lights appear on the bonnet. Crapping myself I hit the hazards - my usual plan of action when I've done something stupid in front of an undercover. As I pull over in a bus stop he goes right past me - but a few metres down the road I see him slow down in the left lane and open his window.
I oblige pull out and stop next to him and drop my passenger window - he gives me a cheeky grin and goes "You never know who it is, do you mate?" and nails it, undercuts a whole bunch of people and is gone for ever.
What a joker...

That sounds pretty cheeky - he's gonna get done sooner or later!
I think my guy really was an undercover though - he was just nice enough not to give me grief - what he said made more of an impact on me anyway, I would just have got stressed if he'd pulled me and gone through the usual VIN verification that comes with owning the DB7.
