came across a new nightclub numpty on Friday

Thought I'd seen all the numpties you can get in nightclubs when i stumbled across a new one on Friday night.
He's Mr 7 foot tall, towering over just about everyone, fresh faced, and looks like he's straight out of school. He enjoys scowling down at anyone who crosses him (ie people who don't move when being shoved out of the way), presumably expecting the same response that he used to get with the kids in the playground. A nightclub ain't a playground however, and I just burst out laughing at him.
Now am I missing something, or is going round scowling down at people going get this young man in a teensy bit of trouble if he carries on with it?

hmm, they cetainly are getting taller. Thing is, acting the hard man because of your height in a nightclub is only going to attract attention, and schoolyard rules do not apply.
Heard of one chap who certainly was quite handy, but didn't make much difference when someone smashed him round the head with one of those heavy glass cigarette trays.

You can generally make quick judgements though. Look at his knuckles, his face, his general manor.
Plus the 'come on you, outside' speil. If someones going to go for it, they generally do straight away, they don't talk about it - in my experience.
Wouldn't it be nice just to have a nice pint, and a nice night!
