For more hilarity, check the OP's other "topics I started".
Of course I don't know you as a person but you seem to get great delight in trying to run me down all the time.

I find this disconcerting.Could I ask if you dont like what I post then refrain from eagerly getting involved everytime I post.If we were kids it would be called bullying.

There should be no pleasure in being cruel......

There is no issue if you can demonstrate that you were insured at the time, via the physical or electronic insurance documents issued by your insurer.
Thank You for your measured informative help(which is what the forum is for??).

I organised the insurance for my new purchase today earlier but the revised documents are in the post.I asked my insurance provider twice to confirm that I was insured but as it happens I still only have a verbal agreement. In normal circumstances I would check with the askmid website.

One thing this site has taught me is that Insurance is a tangled contrived mess...and I am doing my best not to be falling foul of it.

Thanks for trying to help

I’m sure it will all be fine but you could ask your Insurer to simply email you through the required papers.
Insurance is actually very straightforward - people on the other hand…..
Thanks alscar....we have seen an example of how rude people can be.

I will get onto them....good idea!!

I suspect his freaking out over the 'free' side of the site being down has nothing to do with checking his own vehicle's insurance status...
I want to check my own Insurance....there is nothing that leads me too it on the askmid site....they explain why??

Anything wrong with that...I suspect if I knocked over a relative of yours and I wasnt insured youd be furious ??

But AskMID is known not to be a definitive list of who is or isn't insured. If you are genuinely not sure that you are insured then it won't prove anything.
I'm 99% sure and have asked my Insurers to send me the new Cert of Insurance as suggested earlier

Just because it doesn't show on the MID or whatever its called now doesn't mean there is no insurance.

Take a copy of your insurance certicate with you and you'll be fine.
Thats an idea....its still in my old cars registration so will prove my insurance is with them even tho the reg is wrong.

Thanks

And some good news.

askmid is back up and running...with a trendy new look.
