How do I stand?

One for JR………. I was done for speeding yesterday, nothing really bad, 61 in a 50. What gets my goat is that they’d turned off the electronic 50 warning sign at the start of the dual carriageway and it was clearly a non-pedestrian area. (It was back on again half an hour later when I returned and they were gone) That said, the law is the law and 61 in a 50 IS a speeding offence, but when I asked where the speed trap equipment was, I was told that it was back up the dual carriageway with the other part of the team. I thought I was supposed to be shown the readout, otherwise how do I know they had a reading at all? I’ve been given three points fixed penalty and £60 fine.
