I'm no expert on stats but to my feeble mind figures for changes in
biker deaths without corresponding figures for changes in biker
milage are meaningless.

I'd guess that the hot weather this summer encouraged a lot more
bikers out on a lot more days. Perhaps as much as 18/7 times the
usual milage in which case biker deaths are unchanged.

I'm pleased to note that zero tolerance on speed has coincided with
a doubling of accidents. What would the Talivan Scamera partnerships
make of that if it were the other way round? As it is I bet they draw
no conclusions from it.
