A letter in this weeks Farnham Herald suggests the the League Against Cruel Sports devotes its time to the wider issues of "animal cruelty" (my emphasis).

Why am I highlighting this?

Because the letter goes on to say, "The killing and maining of animals by drivers exceeding the speed limits on country roads." (my emphasis).

Well, Mr Tony Page of Lodge Hill Road, Farnham (name and address printed in newspaper), how do you know the drivers were exceeding the speed limit?

The answer is ... you don't! So stop foisting your prejudices on the world at large (well, the Farnham area at least) and stick to whatever your main point is in future!

... I went to an RTA once where a BMW had hit a badger and the impact was so hard it had snapped his flywheel in half!! Car was totalled!

They're tough critters, them there badgers, and mean too!
So would you be if you'd been hit by a BMW. Old Brock prefers something with class

I was driving through the White Mountains in the USA a few years ago, and they have Moose warning signs along country roads! Apparently many people are killed each year after rounding a corner only to be confronted by something the size of a horse on stilts! If you're unfortunate enough to hit one of these things, the colision breaks its legs, and the whole thing comes through your windscreen
You mean like this : ... only bigger?
