There is an advert in the current Corvette Club magazine.
A member is selling what appears to be a very clean 1997 C5 auto in torch red with shale interior.
52,000 miles and new tyres and brakes .
I also notice it has the desirable mag wheels ,which were an extra cost option.
They are asking £ 14,000 ono
Yes, I saw this; would prefer a slightly later car with HUD for 14k.A member is selling what appears to be a very clean 1997 C5 auto in torch red with shale interior.

Was gonna go see the blue vet this weekend but wasn't able to organise it; pencilled in to get Saturday morning. However in the meantime I am trying to man maths my way into a chromaflair TVR Tuscan at 28k ...
So, the blue vette seller ended the auction early today before I had a chance to see it. Apparently he sold it for 10k. I'd have had it for that ...300bhp/ton said:
Very nice indeed. Always been a TVR fan, although a 4.2 V8 Cerbera is the one I've always wanted. Sadly probably beyond my means now.
I assume a bit of price creep went on considering you were looking at 12-15k Vettes?

40K!!
Didn't realise they were that money. It wasn't all that many years back you could get a Cerbera for £8-12k, unless I'm remembering wrongly.
This is red rose version, was very nice, and from Str8Six - there are sub 30k cerberas advertised on ph/at.Didn't realise they were that money. It wasn't all that many years back you could get a Cerbera for £8-12k, unless I'm remembering wrongly.
Prices are definitely up though, previous owner of my car paid 18k in 2015 - though spent probably 20k on maintenance between then and now (with engine rebuild and respray!).

Yes I have, the indecision continues! Will see what happens this time.
How is the TVR??
Good luck! How is the TVR??
It's superb. Rapid, noisy, turns heads like nothing I've ever seen. It's also surprisingly easy to drive slowly, though you can definitely feel the infamous twitchy steering at high speeds - even crossing cats eyes on the motorway can feel a bit nervous!
