Top Gear Survey
Discussion
Don't forget to do the Top Gear Survey for cars 2001 onwards as it includes Corvettes. Let's show these bums how satisfied we are with the US's finest.

There are certain things you shouldn't forget here and that is that GM screwed up when they launched the C5 inthe UK.
For a start, the car was launched as an auto only so the initial headline tests weren't that complimentary. The next thing the C5 was in for the Performance Car Of the Year in Performance Car and came 10th out of 10. Why? Because it was still an automatic. Nothing against autos but not ideal for track racing an NSX or Ferrari.
By the time they released the manual version in 1999, it was all over, the charade was over and the Vette was never taken seriously as a performance car despite far better figures than that initial pretty slow automatic. I think the same fate befeel the Z28. I seem to recall Tiff needling the car round a track moaning about it being soft.
So let us all pray that GM haven't given Top gear an automatic or we are already doomed!
