Hi all,
Had a bit of leave recently and have been getting a bit sick of blasting round my local roads, so thought I'd take a couple of days to take my newly built Caterham 7 on a bit of a road trip.
Took in quite a few well known 'big ticks', including the Black Mountain Pass, Elan Valley, Snowdonia, Evo Triangle, Snake Pass etc. Generally good weather throughout and in all an excellent trip- loving the car!
I've posted a short movie of the highlights on YouTube here (my first YouTube video). Take a look!

I enjoyed the movie, well done. I would be grateful if you could provide some information on the camera and type of mounts used plus editing software to produce this film. Thanks, Ult-jim.
Dan - that made me miss my Caterham (that's been in the garage in pieces for about a year!) far far too much! I'm afraid the cheesy music worked for me
Seriously, I think you should send that video to Caterham, I'd use it for marketing if I was them.
Thanks for making it, as you can tell I really enjoyed it

Thans all for the comments on the vid.
Dirtbiker has answered most of the question regarding what I used to film and edit it from the YouTube blurb above. A little more information though if you need it:
Mounts- The two mounts I used for the GoPro were the Roll bar mount (for the shots where the camera looks like its on the roll bar ) and the GoPro Suction mount for pretty much everything else. I've only got the one camera, so simply stopped every so often to stick the camera in a new location, reviewing later what spots seemed to look good. I would definitely recommend the suction mount if you have a GoPro- its so versatile and you can stick it anywhere. Just need to watch where you're sticking it to avoid anywhere with too much vibration (slap bang in the middle of the bonnet was crap for example).
Software- As said, all edited on iMovie. Additionally I used a free app called TimeLapse Assembler (http://www.dayofthenewdan.com/projects/time-lapse-assembler-1) to make the time lapse clips from a bunch of photos.
Misc- The GoPro has a time lapse setting, where you can set it taking one photo every 2, 4 10, 30 or 60 seconds (or some such). I had it set to take one photo every 2 seconds. The panning effect was got simply by sticking it on top of a £3.50 mechanical kitchen egg timer. Simples!

Nice little video that - can't help but thinking that a black 'aero' fuel filler would improve the back end of your car though! Here is my best effort showing off my car last year.

Excellent video! Really impressive shots and editing! What was the original sound like - can you hear the engine and tyre noise or is it all wind noise?Dirtbiker has answered most of the question regarding what I used to film and edit it from the YouTube blurb above.
