Don't let them hear you say that over on the Porsche forum, cos in between comparing residuals and who's car has the most power, and trying to get the hang of several elementary driving techniques, you'll get shot to pieces by the GT3 brigade!!!
Tell me about it, on the rare occasion when you get someone driving one properly on a track day they're seriously fast! I certainly can't keep up with one in my Megagrad... but then my Mega doesn't cost 80 odd grand... And the phrase 'All the Gear, no Idea' usually applies

Was at Donington yesterday, which seemed to have a lot of powerful/expensive cars going slower than they are capable of. A certain 996 GT3 RS was right there in the 'must drive harder' camp However, two new shape clio cup race cars were being driven pretty well. It amazes me at the lack of peripheral awareness of the majority of drivers at most trackdays. I practically had to sit 2 feet off several cars' rear bumpers for half a lap to get them to shift! However, due to excessive noise I got black flagged twice so had to go home early... Mind you at least we didn't witness around 30 747s taking off on full throttle yeasterday, as that would clearly be too noisy (not).....
Don't get me started. I think people get tunnel vision from over concentration. What really gives me the hump is when you get some slow lapping goit in something quick who moves out of the way and then floors it so you can't get past
Noise police thing gives me the hump immensely. I know there are more track days than there used to be, but if you live next to a race track, what do you expect? Personally I think I'd quite enjoy the tuneful roar of some nice machines in the distance... Maybe I should try and get a noise abatement order on the farmer and his tractors
Otherwise, how was donny? Some Grads were there earlier in the week, said it was v slippery

v slippy in the morning, partly due to the fact that whenever it rains heavily there, all the fuel residue from the planes tends to get flushed out of the track to the surface, which combined with caterhams general lack of meaningful traction in th ewet, (even with everything slacked off, etc) meant that there were a few 'moments' until a decent dry line appeared!
