So where does all this leave the area meetings then?
One of the reasons I jacked it in was the concept of paying a membership fee to attend meets which cost The Club nothing and to which It contributed nothing in return. It's much the same as BC now being replaced by a free version.
I thinkyou can go to a pub where area meetings are being held and unless the landlord of said pub bans you you are free to wave at L7C members you may have met in a previous life. They may even buy you a drink One of the reasons I jacked it in was the concept of paying a membership fee to attend meets which cost The Club nothing and to which It contributed nothing in return. Si, can I take it you went to one in Sussex then?
Should've gone to North Kent...
No comment It does seem odd that a bunch of (sad old) men stand around talking about their cars when really they should be out enjoying them. Also on my limited contact with the club, most seemed to be a "Caterham person" rather than a "car person". The sort of bloke who has saved all his life for a Seven having driven some mundane stuff along the way - Some of their daily drivers were miserable which I didn't quite understand.Should've gone to North Kent...
Of course, some massive generalisations being made there!

Not very busy though is it?
I seem to recall it was set up my Carl to help promote his business Seven Speed? However i can't seem to find any reference to the Seven Speed website any more, not sure if it is still trading?
It was set-up by a group of different individuals who just wanted an open forum for anything 7-esque..
For the record...
I don't go to club meets anymore (just don't get the time)
My daily drive varies between diesel Fiesta (which is AWESOME) and SMAX (not so awesome, but is a comfortable bus for the sprogs).
I'm a petrolhead not a Caterham Fanboy (but I wouldn't own a plastic copy), I love the smell of burning Castrol 2stroke oil.
I don't have a beard, I love girls with big @rses and mahussive baps (but don't tell Mrs Krismuss) and have a soft spot for hot chics with tattoos.
I didn't save all my life for my 7 (though I own little else that gives me as much pleasure)
I have a lot in common with the lively bunch I tend to '7' with these days, though we do drink beer, kick tyres, etc.
Happy 7-ing!

constantly!
I seem to remember your ginger christmas card thread that started the whole thing rolling!
I remember upsetting my friends (when their 4th child came out ginger) and more so saying so at a friends dinner party (not in Chiswick) when her best friend sat opposite me had ginger hair (I couldn't tell, it was dark and above all else I do like gingers)!
I've even been called racist because of it :0
