Keyless Ignition

I considered the toggle switch option when I fitted my starter button but decided against as I wasn't happy with the fact that anyone could arm the ignition (via the switch) and attempt to start the car. Obviously the immobiliser would prevent the engine firing but it could still be turned over.............. or have I got it wrong?
Aside from my non-functioning immobiliser, this is what scared me about my setup. I've totally removed the toggle switch now and replaced it's place in the dash with a 12v adapter. (I say I, Andy at QMech is doing it this week). The only thing I found nice about it was killing the engine quickly using it was handy - my throttle pedal got stuck on a broken throttle stop, and the switch did come in very handy! That said, I'm sure I'll get used to finding the key!

Toby, some of us just like fiddling/fettling etc with our cars. Nowt wrong in that. One man's meat another man's poison etc.....
Are there carbon ones? I admit to liking a spot of carbon I shall fess up to having a start button. Didn't realise there were start/off buttons as well.Gassing Station | Caterham | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
