So, after only 875 miles, the speedo in my Sigma 1.6 Roadsport 125 has decided to give up the ghost!
There had been a little 'flickering' between 60 and 70, but it was pretty accurate otherwise. Then, after a 40 mile A road cruise and a two hour stop, it decided not to work. It "wakes up" on ignition and the odo lights up, but then it goes back to rest and stays there, very occasionally rising a bit, wavering about for a couple of seconds (without any real indication of the actual speed) then promptly dropping back to rest.
I've checked the wires at both ends, and the sensor seems pretty solid (and nothing would have jolted it on the drive or while parked up). Without shifting the sensor around, does anyone have any ideas what it could be - or should I just start adjusting the sensor gap and see what happens?
Any help much appreciated!
Thanks,
Tom
