The R400: fast, and finally here
The new Caterham R400 goes on sale
Caterham has launched the R400, nearly a year after the model was announced. The delay has been officially attributed to fine tuning, and the introduction of the Ford Sigma powered models in the meantime.
The specification is much the same as before, with a Caterham Motorsport version of the Cosworth developed Duratec engine producing 210bhp. With a kerb weight of 525kg, Caterham is claiming 0-60mph in 3.8 seconds. The dampers, springs and anti roll bars have been revised and the price is now lower by £1,000, starting at £25,995.
