Hi,

First post, so go easy on me!

I got the track bug last October, with my 350Z. Endless fun, but I'm looking for 1) Even more focused car 2) A cheaper track-day fix in terms of consumables.... so I'm looking for an R400, but £25K for a weekend/track car is outside my budget for the moment (and I don't want to settle for a lower powered cat that I know I'll grow out of within a year).

Have any of you been in the same predicament, and solved it by joint buying+owning a car with friend/family/like-minded individual?

If so:

Did it work out well?
What were the biggest hang-ups?
Would you recommend it?

Many thanks!

Thx for the replies, good suggestions all round.

I think it does come down to trust and finding the right person. Unfortunately I only have one friend (BiL) who I would think of sharing with, and I asked him this weekend, but he's about 10 years behind me in the old age/career ladder, so coughing up 8 grand for him just isn't an option at the mo'!

I think I will look at fully owning a Roadsport as a first foray into Cat ownership, and see how that goes... am going to the Midlands branch on the 11th April. Can't wait!
