Excluding the fiesta st, can anything else match it on equipment, price and performance?
Peugeot 208 GTI is well received, but wouldnt do it for me.Clio RS220 seems much better than the RS200
If you're looking at used anyway with the 2016 Corsa, and have a budget of £15K, i'd have thought the world was your lobster..
Golf GTI, Leon Cupra, Renault RS Megane, Mini Cooper JCW, Golf R, Focus ST
find me a ph worthy car at least 200bhp with warranty for 15k OR LESS that isn't a fiesta st...
Any of those cars listed could be bought under an approved used scheme with an approved used warranty OR you could buy from a.n. other source and buy a comprehensive warranty for it.
Cars like that Corsa will drop in value like snow dropping off a ditch. Theres a world of excellent used cars out there at similar money that have already taken their initial depreciation hit, without having to resort to buying a kermit the frog green Corsa.
BUT - if thats what you want to do, then just do it - dont just put up blockers for any other suggested options.
I suspect you really just wanted people to gush and say its the best car ever and you're right to want to buy it - it isnt but if its what you want to buy then go buy it.

For an £800 difference? You could be there and back in a day.
If someone offered you a days work for £800 cash in hand would you not snap their hand off?
Still worth letting the dealer with the green one think its an option (even if you decide its not) and using it as a lever.
800 less mileage and a bit of subs = £430ish savingIf someone offered you a days work for £800 cash in hand would you not snap their hand off?
Still worth letting the dealer with the green one think its an option (even if you decide its not) and using it as a lever.
Which is actually only about 3% of the cars value. You must be tight as two coats of paint if you'd make that journey for a potential 3% saving!!!

£800 - £164 = £636.
So you're £636 better off for a days effort? Thats £50 per hour cash in hand.
Apologies if that makes me tight, but if you want to piss £800 extra up the wall to line your local stealers pockets, then thats your perrogative.
Also, you neatly ignored the last sentence of my post - you dont "have" to do it, just be able to convince your local stealer that you're going to if he doesnt play ball.....

All other posters...avoid the vxr even with the performance park, i personally hated every minute, slow, gearbox was poor, very juddery and seating position proper shocking...obviously this is my personal opinion, and i could've drove a lemon of a vxr.

Thanks man, it's an awesome motor honestly, everything I wanted and in my price range! That vxr was honestly crap and in answer to my first post... I was mad it was rubbish.
Long live my ed35
Another big plus is the relatively slow depreciation on those Edition Golfs. By comparison the Corsa would drop in value like snow falling off a ditch!Long live my ed35
You should get a good percentage of your money back come resale time.
