Over on the Australian forum at Mustang6G there are some pictures of a new brochure which is imminent - has a good few RHD pics in.

http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showpost.php?p=685...

Has to be said that the brochure and the more detailed spec list raises more questions than answers though, but still worth a nosey.
Still can't believe they haven't switched the centre console over - can those cup holders even be used?

Not that it matters much, but still...
Those pics are the same crappy ones from the original brochure with the US car in it. In fact they are so cartoonish I imagine they've just swapped over the interior, added the white lights and big mirrors using an Etch-a-Sketch.

The picture on the Ford UK website is still the cartoon of a US car. My local dealer even shows the interior of the previous gen Mustang on it's own website.

It is all very amateur and disappointing.

Haha.

I plan to keep this one until it's a classic and I'm too old to drive.

Think Ford in Guildford have a white US GT that does the rounds of their other stores further west. Worth calling them to see when they have it back although another member did mention the 27th.

Bill Shepherd in Byfleet have a few US GTs and they were quite happy for me to have a good look at one even though they knew that I was buying a
UK model. Others have said that they were very accommodating and I presume that they are hoping for some custom as in upgrades and servicing.

Don't know where in Kent you are but both places are minutes from the A3/M25 junction.

There is a thread on the Mustang6g forum about attaching the front number plate to the front bumper without drilling any holes. One of the European posters is going to be making up brackets and plates to order, there is the Sto n Sho option which looks like it will come a cropper the first time you hit a speed bump and there is this, which is genius and cheap.

Congrats and welcome to the fold. I've only been waiting 7 months so far frown

But it will give you time to soak up any info on the web, constantly watch users reviews on YouTube and even learn how to fit your own aftermarket exhausts and super chargers smile

Weird how any mention of the Mustang has disappeared from the Ford UK site. Even under the cars and future cars lists.

Maybe it was all a dream.

Think I read that it uses the system first used on Sat Navs called TMC.

After years of sports motorcycles with their race bred engines and suspensions, I have just bought a Vespa 300. It handles like manure but boy am I enjoying being on two wheels again and it's so much fun.

Didn't they start the production of the RHDs yesterday. There must be a picture of the interior.....somewhere?

I still have a faint hope that we will be getting the American model with the steering on the correct side biggrin thanks to our 'special' relationship.

ie vents, red rear lights, no feux gas cap, completely reversed centre console etc etc.......plus a last minute addition of free Recaros to all us lot that have waited so long.

I suppose until there is a pic I can still dream biggrin

Rang my dealer today to see if there was any news since RHD has started production.

No Vin numbers. Said he was puzzled why people keep asking for them.

Said my car is due to be produced Sept 14th and should expect it 12 weeks later.

Let's hope it's not a white Christmas.

Seen and sat on Saddle. Seems tougher than the black and it looked good. In the US you can spec it with CO but not here in the UK.

Just seems weird that if it's possible in the US, why not here. After all they are made in the same factory?

The SN95 Mustang has the handbrake on the wrong side for the Americans.

Thing is, the S550 Mustang has a very wide transmission tunnel so the reach is a little too much but that is not the main problem. It is the cup holders (I never use them) which will get in the way of gear changing if you have your pint of milky coffee in them and it's where you rest your arm as you sit very low in the Mustang.

I think the Ecoboost will see a lot of sales eventually but I'm sure that the V8 will be rare and only bought by enthusiasts willing to put up with 12mpg.

I say 12 as that's what my Grand Marquee did on day to day driving.

!2mpg was driving it like I stole it and through central London gridlock. I still got it through gaps that driver's of smaller cars wouldn't dare attempt biggrin

On a run down from Scotland to London over 3 days (taking in the sights of the Highlands) I got 26.

I've just never been good at getting the posted MPGs on cars. My E36 323 does 18 around town, my Street Triple did 30 and my current Vespa 250 does 60 when others claim they get 85+.
