I received my Roush axle-back exhaust system today from CJ Pony Parts. The vat, duty and handling fee's were £114 so adding on the £460 for the exhaust and shipping that's a total of £574.

I'll let you know how the fitting goes and what it sounds like next month when i get the car for anyone who is interested!

When the courier turns up at your door wanting the vat/duty payment, can you pay card or do they want cash?

I called up and paid it over the phone before delivery. It was with UPS. They told me though the driver would of delivered it and then they would of sent a bill to me a few days later.

So, having had my original sales guy leave, then being fobbed off to the Ford Store by his "replacement", dealing with another three sales guys one after the other, I phoned for an update this morning to find out the latest one has now left as well which is why my promised update 2 weeks ago never materialised!

That makes a grand total of FIVE different people I've now had "looking after" me. rolleyes

Guess I was just expecting too much when, you know, I thought they might have some sort of handover to the next guy that's "dealing with Mustang orders". Clearly not.

My dealer has just called and told me that mine has finally arrived in Balmore.

Guess I won't be seeing it before Christmas then.

Mine's sat there too. Due to be on the Eurasian Highway which leaves on the 20th and my ETA is 2nd week of January, and slipping... Although, if the flurry of delivery activity on Mustang6G is anything to go by the lay-over in Zeebrugge may not be as long as ford have quoted / built-in - cars are landing in the UK next week. Keep everything crossed anyway!

I have conflicting info at the minute. One says its leaving Zeebrugge 20/11 arriving Southampton 21/11. The other says leaving Zeebrugge 02/12, arriving Southampton 05/12.

Why is nothing straightforward

Nope. Salesman hands in hs notice and is told to leave the premises. Any deals he had on the go are distributed among other salesmen. Any forward orders, ie cars that won't make any money for several months, are dealt with as and when.

No one really wants to take on the forward orders as they take up time with no idea when/if you'll get paid.

Bad points:
- Steering wheel is nice but a little too thin, but I have a GT350 wheel on the way which is thicker and part suede/leather, so a none issue for me.
- There are some cheap plastics in use, the ones around the electric mirrors are nasty.
- Ride height is not so bad, but a little lower, say 20-30mm and it would be spot on.
- Rear lights still stand out too much, red would look better, I have medium tints on the way for mine to make them blend a bit better and not look so 1990 Lexus effect. wink
- I don't like the rear decklid GT fake filler cap, got a new rear decklid on the way with running pony badge on it. smile
I completely Agreed with you on the above points. I have a competition orange 5.0 Coupe on Order and I like you want to change the rear lights....After seeing your detailed pictures the white Uk Spec lenses do look a bit of our place.

Did you order overlays for your lights to tint them or did you buy specific lenses? Is there anything to stop us retrofitting the US red light lenses to a UK car

Great work with the GT350 wheel as well apparently you cant order them anymore unless you have a GT350 Vin Number.

Kind Regards
Neil

Just had another email from Karen. Mine has landed at Zeebrugge late on Friday 13th. She states for customs clearance & underseal wax. Then there's a twice weekly boat to Southampton, but she doesn't know as yet when it will leave.
Anyone got an accurate time scale for Zeebrugge to dealer ?
I'm hoping for an early Xmas present !!!!
