Just a tease, my new to me '17 GT,
600 miles after pickup I wonder why I waited so long, one of the most enjoyable machines I ever had...
More pics after TLC and de-counciling it (get rid of the window louvers, the hideous splitter etc etc)

Ok , that’s side on, are those Louvre on the rear screen like my old Capri ?
Will be a great looking car. Some knock black wheels on a black car, I don’t

Alright folks, the car is ready!
Apart from cleaning the car inside out and refitting the original front spoiler, mounting a California Special grille (pony's still missing), getting rid of the side window louvers, rearranging the exhaust tips after painting it black, changing the 19 inch wheels for refurbished 20 inch ones, the main thing was the installation of a barton shift kit, which was bolted to the transmission...
The shifting now is ultra sharp, even more so than the MX5, no slack whatsoever, strong springs in there, but always starting at the 1st/2nd gate, so no problem. Mega short throws, but a defined gate, so no stirring when shifting up.
It transforms the whole experience from cool boat, nice sound, but a little lazy to a precise machine which now equals the engine for excitement. Just wow, this has to be the number one mod, even before the default ones like exhaust or suspension mods, unbelievable. And I got it brand new from ebay from a private seller, for a sizeable sum less and immediately after two days, compared to ordering from the states...
After changing the trans oil as well the transmission is actually pretty decent, now I shift just for the fun of changing gears.
As this seems to be a car to tinker with, let's see what comes next...

Ah, crappy pics in the garage, have to shoot nice ones outside soon!

Hmm, probably not, it's supposed to be snowing all weekend and I don't want to wrap it around a tree a day or two after I've got it. biggrin
