Got to love people who talk the talk. I bet you don't say this in front of your other half wink.

In the interest of drawing this part to a close, I ask her opinion as I value it. Not because I am not permitted to but because in a grown up relationship, both opinions matter.

She did not get a say in the last car I bought, in anyway. I sold the AMG and bought the Cayman S without her knowing. There was no issue and no whinging but with this car I asked her opinion.
Grabber blue is a nice colour. Especially on a stang. Just sayan.

I agree, I'd actually like to see one in the flesh.

Just noticed on Mustang6G forum, some people who placed orders early April have been given build dates in Mid Sept. I placed mine at the end of April and looks like i didn't get in the September slot :-(

Just changed my order slightly, removed the over the top stripes on the car. I think the car suits them but don't like that the Ford stripes fade out towards the front/rear.

That will also make your order 2-3 weeks quicker, as they need to leave the factory to be striped... its outsourced.
That I never knew, will also save a few quid as the Ford stripes are not the cheapest. The time isn't a big factor for me, when I ordered I was told it would be March, so arranged for registration under new tax rule-that will be a painful few weeks!

What's the average mpg that people are getting in the V8s? I appreciate it's going to be on the low side, but I'm wondering if it would be ruinous to run one as a daily driver.
I don't have mine yet but having looked on Fuelly it ranges from 'hey that's not bad' if you're just enjoying the cruise, to 'ooh look, single digits!' If pressing on regularly.

I'm expecting 20mpg for me.
All depends how you drive i have had my ecoboost for 6 weeks now and i use it as a daily driver traveling just 2 miles to work and back and the odd trip out at weekend and im only getting 18mpg in the 2.3 so if you drove like me in the 5.0 you would be lucky to get 8 mpg thats why the 2.3 was the best choice for me would have loved the v8 but it just didn't add up for me

I've had my V8 since January. According to the computer it has averaged 21mpg in 6000 miles. That is mainly driving like I stole it on country roads and motorway/ A road commutes. About 50/50.

Glad I don't live in London anymore as the few times I've driven in the metropolis it has rapidly dropped to 11mpg Which is the same as my half the power 4.6 V8 Grand Marquis which I did use for a daily commute from SW London to E London.

I had to drive from Reigate to Cambridge the other day and after national speed limit +, I got through the tunnel and once on the M11 I stuck on cruise at 60mph. That trip got me 27mpg which didn't change during the midnight fast return trip.

A tank of country driving, leaving it in 3rd a lot of the time gets me 16mpg.

A run down the motorway at 70 will see you over 31mpg quite happily.

I spent a LOT of time on a rolling road this week and it had only dropped to 16mpg.

OBC over 8K miles says 22.8.

16 minutes for 2 miles? That's an 8 minute mile, a good jogging pace. A normal person walks at 3mph so about 40 minutes. Cycle and you'd cut that below 10 minutes admittedly but I like to arrive at work dry and warm/cool depending on the weather so I too would drive.

My point wasnt you can't walk it - the point is you have a brand new top car so enjoy it.

This has taken a tangent - put the charge down mate you're on the wrong thread for your point of discussion.

You'll be pleased to know I'll be driving 60 miles a day in mine...

40 mins, is that backwards
i suppose if you dont get traffic and have a parking space at the office its not to bad, try the M25 you would rather crawl than sit in that traffic

Hi guys, new to the forum. I was lucky enough to bag me a showroom Ecoboost from Ford Warrington back in April. Thinking I'd have to order and wait a year, I waited just 6 weeks while they took delivery of the replacement car. So now that its done just 2000 miles with an average 30mpg I've started to add a few mods.

1. Replaced the Start/Stop button for the GT350 version (CJ PonyParts)
2. Replaced the map reading lights with LED (CJ PonyParts)
3. Replaced the side lights and indicators with LED. (CJ PonyParts). LED DRL on order from Proledlights.nl
4. Fitted the pre painted Foose rear spoiler (American Muscle)
5. Fitted a Carbon Fibre rear diffuser (CJ PonyParts)
6. Fitted Carbon Fibre Fog light covers. Best price came from Ali Express and fitted like a glove.

DO NOT consider the Carbon Fibre door mirror covers they don't fit correctly even though you see them advertised for Euro spec Mustangs.

Here is a pic of the car.
Forgot to mention I'm replacing the bonnet with a Mongoose from BMC Extreme Customs in the US. Sample pic uploaded. I know its only an Ecoboost, its just about the look I guess.
