Monday seemed to majority choice so.....

First race is Monday 30th May

We will be doing the races in the order they are on the box (well my German import box anyway :)) With one extra addition.

Open to GT, G2 and NGT cars. There will be 2 championships and a combined.

Monday 30th May - Monza
Monday 6th June - Estoril
Monday 13th June - Magny-Cours
Monday 20th June - Anderstorp
Monday 27th June - Barcelona
Monday 4th July - Le Mans chicane version DAY New Version 3.1 Link - http://frank.f4.free.fr/addons%20Circuits.htm
Monday 11th July - Oscherleben
Monday 18th July - Enna-Pergusa
Monday 25th July - Spa (Day)
Monday 1st August - Brno
Monday 8th August - Donington

Few rules :-

GT and NGT classes run to their own championship.
With the winner in each class awarded maximum points and so on down their class listing. However there will be a combined results board where the points from both championships will be put against each other the highest points scorer of both will be the overall winner

Weight penalties
The winners, 2nd and 3rd place finishers of both classes will get weight penalties (this can be added by the host). 1st gets 30kg, 2nd gets 20kg and 3rd gets 10kg . If they win again they will get the same weight again added, as will 2nd & 3rd. If they finish outside the top 3 places in the next race then 10kg of weight is removed, they would lose the another 10kg (if they still had weight onboard if they finish outside the top 3 in the next race. This weight will be known by all via the results of the last race posted and will be added by the host during the closed player joining practice session where much pi$$taking and pre-qualifying merriment will be entertained.

Race classes for G2 class cars.
Corvette is in the GT class
Seat Toledo, Mosler and Elise are in NGT

Complusory pitstops
GT's (and Corvette G2) - 2 compulsory pitstops.
NGT's (and Mosler, Elise, Seat Toledo) - 1 compulsory pitstop.
As long as everyone in their class does the same number of pitstops it makes the race fair, but since the faster GT cars do one extra they may be mixing in the race it more with the NGT cars. NGT possible overall victory ;)

Race format
Join in Practice session, no one goes out till all present who are racing.
20 minutes of Qualifying
1 hour race. Server to start hosting at 9pm

IP Details posted on here for convenience.
Results posted on here - http://www.mercia.biz/forum/index.php?c=5

Points for both classes
1st - 10
2nd - 8
3rd - 6
4th - 5
5th - 4
6th - 3
7th - 2
8th - 1

One point for pole position
One point for fastest lap (seen on race completion screen at the end - host must not quit too soon)

I think I haven't forgotten anything :) But if I have let me know.

Cool I'm in

Brilliantly organised as always FWD.

I'll be missing the first race (I said yes to an overtime shift last week - nuts!)

should we sort out a skin for the car of our choice?

What car is everyone using? I'm debating between the Lambo for GT and a Porker GT3 RS for NGT. Can't decide which class I want to race in...

I am up for this but also won't be able to make the first race (its bank holiday, have friends visiting). I am up for GT or NGT, I'll see where the entries are.

I'm happy to be a host too.

Got thinking about this over the weekend and was wondering if more of a weight penalty would be more effective in its purpose, I'm not so sure those weigths would make enough of a difference to the amount the leaders win by? even if the weight is accumalitive......

if the idea is to keep the the guys finishing further down the grid, interested, then maybe more of an advantage needs to be given...

duno, can we here from some of the guys that are considering the championship but are put off by maybe not being fast enough...

Possible, I chose 10kg increments as I think thats what they use on BTCC and DTM.

Double it? 60, 40, 20kg ?

thing is in real life their tallents are much closer so any small disadvantage shows.

But double the weight is exactly what I thought, 60kg for 1st would be enough to make a difference I reckon, can you or I do some timed runs to see the difference? needs to equate to about a second a lap disadvantage? not sure how you add this weight to try it myself........

sorry for being a trouble maker

I'll be there

Who ever is hosting, could you please allow low ABS - there is no way under the sun I can get this car to not lock it's wheels without having to brake about 100yrds further down the track. With low at least I have a chance

Monza starting in 5mins.

Join and wait (do not go out) in the practice session until others have joined, then we will go into the 20min qualifying session.

I think I may have punted you off at the 2nd chicane stefan, I'm very sorry. You just slowed down more than I expected... I couldn't do anything, I'm sorry.

I quit early to go to bed... My engine blew up in curva grande just after I'd taken 2nd place... I had no warnings to short shift and the temperatures were all fine. Bit of a shame.

Are we going to have to stick with the cars that we chose this week? I think that might be better as I chose the corvette because of it being a bit quicker at other tracks... it's a bit disadvantaged at monza as it lacks some power I think.

Anyway... a good start to the league I think... see you next week!

Finished 2nd a lap down Saw your car expire Mike - though I had a job getting through all the black smoke! Was a bit careful with my Corvette after seeing that!
