The extra missions will be good but does anybody know if the Deluxe edition also includes the extra map packs? I paid the extra £40 or so for the BF4 maps (which were well worth it) but don't fancy shelling out £80 for the deluxe edition plus another £40 come new map time!
As I understand it this BF will not have "pay maps". They will all be included...Looks like the Deluxe version might be worth it in that case...

This and FIFA are pretty much the only games I enjoy now. I've tried a lot of others but I can't get into them like I do with BF. I've been a fan since BFBC2 so hoping this is another hit.
Yeah me too. Not a lot is funnier (well, to a sad person like me) than planting C4 on the enemy chopper and waiting.... Then as you see it fly past, detonate.................. Those were the days.....Really hoping for sticking remote bombs in BF V !!As a bf fan series i felt i all went down hill a bit after 4..
Hardline was a bit of a farce. Battefield 1 was a reskinned 4 with different guns/planes etc. The map limitations are annoying, too - i miss the massive maps of 1942 to be honest.
V uses the same frostbite 3 engine and have a feeling it'll just be another rehash of 4 but with 1940's tech.
Its quite expensive for what it is, too. I think ill go back and play some 3 or 4 for a bit, perhaps get the V beta and see what i think of it? Theres always the issue with hackers in bf games, too, which puts me off. Plus theres still summery weather out there, so i should be making the most of the dry weather and cycling tbh.

Beta early access players can download today ready to start playing tomorrow.
I struggled to find how to do this on Xbox tonight. Even loading up BF1 and clicking on the “pre-download beta” type thing on the main page didn’t seem to do anything. I only preordered this morning... what am I doing wrong? Also struggling to set up the new Xbox OneX so it downloads stuff even when turned off... I’m sure my Xbox one used to do this?

I thought it would be more automated given the amount of harassment the game is throwing around re preordering but on PS4 I had to go to the PS Store, type in "BFV beta" and manually "purchase" the free beta in order to start the download. In my experience Xbox was always a bit better at stuff like that but maybe it's the same process for this one? Loaded the Beta last night, think its from the 6th? Might get one evening on it depending how long its for! No doubt my son will tell me what its like..
6th for everyone, today for those who preordered IIRC.I wonder if we can get a refund if the beta turns out to be awful? That said given the delay the released version is presumably going to be different to what we have now anyway.
