I liked that in black in GT4! The Group C car I drove the most though was the Jaguar XJR9. I just like that purple and white livery.I'm a bit surprised nobody has mentioned the Tommy Kiara ZZii in GT4 yet. It was, I think, the fastest road car in the game - it took a really good racing car to beat it - and handled quite nicely too. They had nerfed it somewhat for GT5 though.
I wouldn't say it was my favourite exactly, but I did use it as my racecar an awful lot and it looked good too.

Used to love playing in arcades
Konami’s WEC lemans
I remember the one where you sat in it and it spun you around a bit...it used to make me feel a bit sick! Konami’s WEC lemans

My arcade days were some of the best days of my life. My school was very close to a town centre, so I'd finish school and head straight to the arcade. Great times for sure.

Going to the seaside was also epic arcade wise, and seeing/experiencing all the new stuff that was coming out around that time.
I remember having a lot of fun with engine swaps in Forza 1 & 2, but I can't for the life of me remember what most of them were now!
996 GT2 or GT3 engine in a '73 911 RS, something spicy (well boosted SC Exige lump?) in an Elan, RB26 in a 240Z (though IIRC it was actually more fun with an RB25 NA), that sort of thing... good times.

I just had a flash back to Scud Race, in particular the F40.

And also remembered the Initial D cabinets that had card readers built in so you could save your progress, I had a really nice MR2 that was like my real one just without the turbo.

While looking for the name of another game (Power Drift) I also stumbled across Buggy Boy, Turbo, Rad Racer and Hot Rod.
I loved those stand up cabinets with the whole track on screen where random strangers would just come and join you in a race because there were 2 steering wheels free.

I'm another one that really enjoyed Buggy Boy(it had a lovely cabinet with multiple screens). Really liked Rad Racer too. I found Turbo quite difficult once you got up to speed, but satisfyingly when you got it right. I also liked Super Sprint with the other steering wheels so others could join as well.
Scud Race seemed to pass me by for some reason, and I think that I've only played that a couple of times.
I spent many a night after school trying and eventually succeeding to get the White Angel in Ridge Racer Revolution

You had to beat it in a one on one race, which I recall required near perfect laps and you'd still have to block it from passing several times. Yes I could have been doing homework, but who needs learning when you have this car?

Two stand out for me:
Grand Prix Legends' Lotus 49. (Or any GPL car really, but the Lotus was the iconic one). The first driving game cars that rolled, pitched, slid and genuinely felt like real cars. Totally new experience in '98 to need a steering wheel controller, to need to spend a few laps driving slowly to get used to the car and track. The satisfaction of finally going "alien" at Monza, faster than the example replays, was so rewarding compared to earlier games where you could cut corners and tear across the grass with abandon.
A more recent one: Assetto Corsa's Ferrari F40. Lots of games have the F40. Only one of them has the knife-edge feeling of too much power on 30-year-old tyre technology, the sudden explosive burst as the turbos come in, the feeling that chassis and brake engineering are yet to catch up with what the engine can do. Assetto is a great-feeling game but whereas you play with cars like the E30 M3 and Toyota AE86, this is one you tame. Carefully and with respect. The satisfaction of a fast lap at Imola or nailing an overtake right on the limit of traction is worth it.

Agree on Assetto Corsa also, however more a fun of the RUF CTR 'Yellowbird', with the adjustable boost at 100% on 80s tyres round the 'Ring...

I also can't Ignore project Gotham racing 2, it was the first game I played online. The proper green Speed 12 was only available if you completed platinum on everything, very few had it, I was one of them, it's why my gamertag is SPEED12 to this day (I am sad and I know it).
I mentioned PG2 a few pages back as well. The 360 games never captured me the same. They were good but PGR2 as Xbox live took off is a great memory.

It was an excellent game, even PGR1 was pretty amazing back in the day and had weather effects if I recall correctly. I played all PGR games but PGR2 was probably the icon for me (I was at uni and had so much more time to game), many hours spent playing cat and mouse. I mentioned PG2 a few pages back as well. Forza horizon replaced PGR for me, but to be honest I don't think Horizon 2, 3 or 4 are as good as the first.
