Is a steering wheel a good thing to get for these games or do most people prefer the joypad?

Wheel's better for Forza I reckon. PGR might punish it a bit too much

Anyway I've broken my ankle so selling my MS one, shout if anyone's interested. PH special deal for you boss biggrin

Down to 1:22.73 now

Anyone got any consistent techniques for that bitch of a second corner? You can take it flat in the MC12 but the RUF is all over the place. My clumsy technique has now evolved into leaving in on the limiter in 4th in the RUF prior to the jump, this seems to stabilise the car at just below the optimium speed for the next corner. Break on landing and you're in the barriers. Rather than being something that gives the best time, it's more of a way of consistently giving myself a fair crack at the rest of the lap

The rest of the course is quite straightforward. Devilish choice Nessie evil

The MC12 seems to be the most stable over the jump before the second corner in St Petersberg. Struggling to better 1:27 though cry

Have you lot fitted nitrous and slicks to your cars!? hehe

We may be better creating a seperate leaderboard thread that can be stickied, and that we don't reply to, otherwise this thread could get very messy very quickly wink

Just done exactly the same time as Mat1227, a 1.22:73, but I scrubbed the barrier at the end of the 1st corner. Interesting to note that I came 30th on the whole leaderboard.

Yep my quickest lap had an absolute shambles of a first hairpin in it, so there's got to be more to come. In the RUF, I reckon slow in fast out first corner, don't screw up the jump/second corner combo, hit every apex then get a good slingshot out of the last 90 deg right and you've got a 1:21 for sure. It's just stringing all the elements together that's tricky.

Might try the Jag..

And nobody get overly complacent after that last right angle right-hander, a couple of times I've been congratulating myself on a fine lap then had a catastrophe on the final jump. The laps not over til it's over biggrin

Just put in 5 laps there now, the best of which is a 1:28...definitely another tough track to string all the corners together in...I can see many hours of frustrated barrier scraping ahead laugh

I hear ya. I've put in about 9 or 10 laps since I've been in, and have only managed a 127.45. Way off.

How on earth did scooby do a good time in the XJ220? confused
It handles like a space hopper.

I'm now down into the 1:23's after another 20mins or so on it, but even at that I can't see where there's much more time to be made up other than getting perfect exit's on the last corners before the straights etc and using that to shave some seconds off...
