This looked really interesting but then once it was out and videos all over YT it's clear that the roads are all about 6 car widths wide at least, and you just nail it everywhere.

Are there actually loads of 'normal' UK roads? Or is it mostly just arcade style stuff?

All the roads are far from 6 cars wide.
Sounds like you wouldn't be happy with the game anyway.

I’d definitely need to run it on my PC with a wheel... but it sounds like an arcade racer so yeah possibly not my bag.

But TDU1 was great. I liked NFS4 a lot too.

Had it worked on Win7 I’d have tried it by now.

Ooooooo that expansion looks fun biggrin

Finally gonna start to reap the rewards of the Ultimate Edition... don't forget they promised two expansions for this one as well wink

Re the 'big' roads - Some of them are a little bigger than IRL, but there are some cracking little back roads in this game, and finding them is the fun of it for me. Anything sub 250hp is a hoot!

I don't think it's wheel fodder really.

It’s a shame that can’t have a decent sim mode or something.

All the sims are crappy race cars. No one does a quality road car sim on roads :-(

I’ve not lost interest yet. I had a run of luck with some super wheel spins and nabbed an e-type low drag coupe in the auction house for 2m. It’s incredible.

I far prefer tuning older cars up rather than driving modern stuff.

What are your strategies for using skill points? I've got over a hundred now, and it dawned on me that I'm not taking advantage of them.

I did use them to get the Reventon, but that's about it so far.

Any must have perks?

I very much like the second chance type perk that lets you crash without losing your multiplier.
Anything else that helps build the multiplier faster usually get picked.

Max out the perks on a Hoonicorn.
It's one of the fastest ways to earn skill points at the airport runway.
Then max the trees on the cars you race with most.
Then go buy the 300k cash perks on all the drift cars.
Then go buy the 200k cash perks on all the cars that have them (list on internet).
Then unlock all the perk tree FE cars.

That should keep you busy.

The LHD is annoying, but it’s the silly US spec reg plates that bother me. Especially on the classic European stuff.

Turn plates off and add a vinyl one. Some cars won't allow you to, and you'll have to run without plates in that instance (Aventador SV for example) but if it allows you to have period / size correct plates on British and European cars then it's worth it IMO.

Hopefully it's something they'll amend in a future update.

Bet they don't though

Plates don't bother me in first person driving. They're just lazy developers. My 166M Barchetta (lucky wheelspin) is rhd where it should be lhd according to their ethos of wheel matching country of origin... Lazy.

Is anyone else getting bored of FH4 now?

These days I go on, find a car to buy that interests me, upgrade and tune it, drive it around for a bit then switch it off...which gets me thinking what's the point?

Shame as its the first game for a long time that had my attention for a while.
