Starfield : Bethesda's space game
Discussion
What do you guys do with these ships? I was lucky enough to get an Ecliptic Warwolf which landed near to me that was just after the Razorleaf.
It has a 2000 load capacity and very good guns but even with my bounty hunter characteristic (collecting guns etc to sell on) and having a full weapon and spacesuit workshop in the ship I struggle to have over 700 in general carrying capacity.
I haven't bothered with a settlement as I find the Manor House in Akila which I bought plenty enough for me as I can pop to the shops for any supplies.

I bumble by with terrible mobility for the cargo space - resources. I buy every resource when laundering loot and extract a ton. For instance everytime I visit one outpost I have 1000s of aluminium to collect and then start having iron shipped in via cargo link. Usually means I can create 1000 adaptive frames for xp/small profit every visit. Requires a lot of cargo space unless I keep them on my person.

Fair comments, it's just I read somewhere ships over a certain length can't dock as some spaceports. Mine only just fits length wise and all of yours seem to dwarf mine.
I had one ship which just fitted. However putting the landing bay at the pointy end was a mistake. At smaller landings I spawned underneath the ramp and nothing I could do would let me out. BIRMA said:

Yup - 80m. Mine have all been inside the limits. The only mod I've used makes all the ship parts (that you've unlocked via missions and/or level) available at the New Atlantis ship tech. I'm starting to get pretty fed up with this game on the Xbox, for about the 5th time now in Akila City I go to either head into a store or out and it either freezes or the screen goes black with that circle revolving in the right hand corner. Just shut the Xbox down, gave it a few minutes started up and still getting black screen with circle. 3rd attempt to force it to close and I'm still in black screen hell, its been on for about 5 minutes now and I can't seem to get out of this situation.
In all the years when I switched from a gaming PC to a Playstation going back to Oblivion and Fallout New Vegas etc I don't honestly thinkI ever had any problems like this.
So is it Xbox that's crap or Bethesda or perhaps both. I think I need to send an e-mail and complain somehow as it looks like I stuck in this never ending circle.

It’s not Xbox. I played Starfield, completed every main mission, all factions, pretty much all other quests and it only froze on one occasion. I also have a PS5 and have had the same occur once or twice in the past, different games.
Prior to switching to consoles I used PC’s, most recently Alienware. I have had far more glitches on PC than any console ever.

Series X. Several hours in and no real issues so far. However, it looks as if you are not alone in experiencing issues in Akila City. I think there is an update coming soon for Xbox. So hopefully it's one of the bugs they have fixed. I forgot to mention the fact the Xbox starts up 480 x120 resolution because of a handshake problem with my latest range topping LG OLED, so I always have to remember to turn the Xbox on before the TV. It's a well known fact on AV forums.
Also the game goes into like an echo chamber for some reason or other so my investment in a Dolby Atmos system for my games room is wasted I have to start and re0start it to get a decent conversation,

Finished the Constellation bit as there was nothing interesting else left to do. Didn't like losing everything and can't stand the Starborn ship I went to Deimos, Stroud-Eklund and Akila star yards and built my Serenity again, yes you start with no credits but I built it, saw how much it would cost and then console commanded that exact amount to buy it. So I am still starting with zero credits now but with one of my old ships (the one I installed the Armillary into after collecting it from a hidden outpost I built).
Not really sure if I am going to be doing much now though. This doesn't have the repeat playthrough appeal of other games as it is at the moment.
It's one deck higher than before, different cockpit used is 2 hab squares longer in the body, but weirdly the new one is lighter and uses lower B spec items to achieve the same performance. I have also added engineering habs in each wing with Hopetech corridors attaching them to the main body, as I did with my Enterprise build.
Yet it is almost 10x more valuable than the old one !!!! How does that work????
Old Serenity
New Serenity
I will end up making it smaller again but I got a bitcarried away on the build bored and just went with it. Not totally happy with the change of cockpit, I might change it again after visiting other star yards.

Seeing how much bigger it was actually annoyed me so I just took out the cargo hab and the brig that were part of the original ship I modified, taking the cockpit down a level, shortening the engine pods, moving the mess hall to the top rear like it was on Serenity.
Value plummets from 586702 to 82450, how?

Got the original smaller cockpit on now, value gone up...
The "real" thing.
I'll probably look into this engine mod - https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/6156
