I've just started playing projects cars a week or so ago so I can add some truly terrible competition if anyone needs it!

Ok, I've signed up on that site. Will try and get on this weekend and put some laps in. Been doing ok in the karts. Just started getting some invites in the R8 and Porsches which are a bit trickier.

Hi, I was thinking about joining you if that's ok, how do I go about it? When do they start and how long do they last?

Here comes the sales spiel smile

Join up at www.willy-web.com/gt6. Challenges are weekly starting on a Wednesday and chosen at random by Born2BSlow. Any console/PC, but it's preferable if you have a windows PC/laptop knocking about that you can install PCLapUpdater on which sends all your laptimes automatically to the website.

We have kind of 2 parallel competitions going on, Real-Time where the fastest time wins and a handicapped version where I attempt to apply a handicap against the fastest drivers to give us all a bit more of a chance. You can toggle whichever view suits you.

Here's a screenshot of the website to show you what you're getting yourself into smile

Proposed by, and generally people can't be arsed to come up with an alternative. I always try to pick one absolute ballache combo just to annoy Mark smile

It usually involves Cadwell Park and something fast and stupid...a bit like me really.

Yup, something where I generally find myself hurtling towards a barrier at 150mph is always appreciated.

While you're here, can you pick weather conditions for time trial mode in PCars2, because that might be quite cool?

Maybe, maybe not - If you can't then we may need to agree on just using the Free Practice mode?
No difference other than tyres are pre-warmed up and minimum fuel.

I don't think so, TT is very much a controlled environment so times are comparable in like for like conditions, even date settings affect track temp and weather (and therefore grip) in PCars2...will check when I get home later but there are a lot of variables...

So if we can't use wet weather then why not all agree on a basic setting -

EG Spring, 12PM, Wet .

I would be gutted if we can't use wet track conditions.

Just put in my pre-order, need to get my hands on this blooming thing. If we do use weather conditions I'll have to figure a way to check them in PCLapUpdater, we can't have us lot struggling in a deluge while someone waltzes past in 30 degree sunshine.

You say that until you hit a flippin puddle at 150mph on the mulsanne straight in VR...a rather convincing brown trouser moment I can tell you :0

There is a private testing option where you can set car and track and the following

Mark if you want to try this you obviously will need to test if these can be monitored/validated through the udp feed...I know I'm stating the obvious.

If I can find some way of collecting the PCars2 udp feed I could send you some data running a test session?

FWIW, right now you can use the custom event and set the track so it is hot and fuel useage turned off and to 1 litre.
Might be worth adding track temp and fuel level to the logged values?

With can't seem to get my lap times to log in the software.

It downloaded fine, and I've got the UDP set to 5 in project cars.

Doing the course in free practice, all driving assists turned off.

What am I doing wrong?
