Did you know if you play in the dark there's a setting on TrackIR to turn the green status light off when in use.
Advanced settings/Camera tab - Status LEDs enabled to false.
You can also turn the brightness down if you still want them on.
Thanks, I never knew that! Advanced settings/Camera tab - Status LEDs enabled to false.

That setup looks terrific, nice pics too. I'd be tempted to locate the speakers behind the screens in each corner but that's just my OCD I guess.
Thanks Ash, as I said I'm really pleased with it. I also do a bit of sim racing with a bunch of others and it's superb for that too. Agree with what you say about the speakers but they're rarely plugged in as I play on headset for the TrackIR. On a separate note, I've just ordered some LED backlighting to go behind the monitors which I'll install in the next day or so!

It looks like this with Avatar to give you some idea of what it can do.

I'm running a single MSI Twin Frozr GTX 970 with 4GB. All the detail is turned up to max or near max and it runs beautifully
That does look rather good. My three screens are similar to each other, but not identical. I struggle with matching the colour on one of them. However, it's fine to play on, but will be addressed in the future. I'm on full detail too and it runs very smoothly indeed. Hence the motion sickness!I bit off more that I could chew last night. I had a go at attacking a haulier with a wanted status. Before I'd even taken the shields down, he hit me with a missile which broke the canopy. Cue me legging it to the nearest station with a timer counting down from 5 minutes of remaining oxygen. I got to the outpost with 2 minutes to spare, but they wouldn't grant me docking clearance.
I repeated the request continually and, with 23 seconds left I got permission. After a hot approach (boosted towards the station from less then 1km out), I landed with 2 seconds to spare.
That was the time I figured a whisky was the order of the day!
I have begun to understand thee name behind the game, Elite: Dangerous, as in it will take up a Dangerous amount of your time!!
Saving for my first ship at the momnent, two thirds of the way there now after doing a load of courier runs last night! Looking forward to offloading my sidewinder for something more fun!

Bloomin' 'eck, I didn't know about that! I've done some reading and although initially I thought the card would have to go back, it suggests it's only an issue on some games (which I don't play). I've fired up ED this morning with FRAPS running in the background, and with the graphics maxed out as they were set before, the frame rates are a solid 60 in space whatever is going on (VSync is enabled so they won't go higher) and only dip to a low of 51 inside the space station. There's no stuttering that I've noticed and even in a RES with ships and rocks everywhere they stay rock solid at 60. So I guess I'll be keeping the card for now...plus the fact a gtx 980 is a small fortune! sanguinary said:

Good drills! You might want to upgrade your life support system a little grenpayne said:

Yeah I've done all the reading and testing... I'm only running at 1080p so I don't think it's going to be an issue for the moment. It's still a superb card for the money.Little miffed at how Nvidia have acted but certainty not worth spending the extra for a 980 for me at least.
Edit to say.... Plus I'm playing the games that are supposed to cause the problems... Shadow of Mordor and it's still silky smooth for me..

Well V1.1 has arrived and it's buggered up my current trading route.
Station names inside a system I'm very familiar with have disappeared or changed.
Commodities available at stations have changed and prices have changed, particular with regard to Imperial Slaves that I've noticed so far.
Didn't see anything about that in the release notes.

Oh crap! Still downloading it! If that is the case all the trading software will take long time to redo their data of the systems!Station names inside a system I'm very familiar with have disappeared or changed.

One of my stations now has Imp Slaves as prohibited and a low price where before they were definitely sellable for a decent profit. Luckily I've managed to find another station in the same system which does a similar deal to what I had before, albeit further away from the jump point. The other system has all the stations & outposts with completely new names, confirmed by comparing with data on Thrudds. I don't think the commodities are massively changed in general, but there are a few differences compared with V1.07 it would seem.
Have raised a ticket. Can't find much else about this on other forums as yet.
