We seem to have core of about 10 regular drivers but I'm still looking to get more people involved. So if anyone knows anyone that may be interested, on forums or god-forbid in real-life, feel free to give out the url www.willy-web.com/gt6 and there's a sign-up link that they can use or give them my email pcstoopid@hotmail.com.

Cheers
Mark

I'm sure you have already but have you posted on project cars forum and other project car / sim racing sites?
Facebook groups may be worth a shout.

i'm sure many many people would join - personally love the app and the way it's done with the telemetry.
I wish a few of the old faces from the other thread would join, some seem to have dropped off now.

Also, will you be updating the app for when project cars 2 comes out? ;-)
I chucked it on a couple of forums but no takers, so I'm going for the word of mouth approach, it's hard not to look like your up to something with the whole "go to this website, download this program that antivirus will try and kill etc, etc".

We've got another 19 people who have joined but don't really take part.

As far as PC2 is concerned, the UDP stream is meant to be the same so in theory we should be able to carry on, with some sort of agreed date when we switch. I may well get superceded though as it looks like it has an inbuilt championship thingy, whether it is cross-platform I don't know and it definitely won't swear at you or have handicaps :-)

I've mentioned the site in a touring car group on Facebook - there's at least one bloke who says he'll give it a go...
Well done guys, an extra 4 have joined, hopefully they'll take part.

I'd like to get enough players so that we can have a league system, with promotion and demotion, based on real times and then in parallel everyone comes together for the handicapped championship, that's the kind of idea that's rattling around in the back of my head anyway.....

Through gritted teeth a well done to Matt S who stole first place from me by 9 thousandths of a second.

With 2 races (2 weeks) left xjay1337 looks like he has the fastest league all sewn up but it's all to play for in the handicapped championship with at least 5 players in contention.

Welcome to our one and only Xbox player simon P who has leapt into the lead on session 35 as his handicap kicks in.

Also for those who are thick (like me) can you explicity mention which version of a given track you are using .

Saves loading into the wrong one haha.
I have to use the same name as the one that is being used in the UDP feed. Unfortunately that doesn't always match up with the track (or car for that matter) that you see within the game. If you pick the wrong one pclapupdater will have a big red cross at the top.

Could you do a reference table in the app which allows you to display the correct track info in the app but use the pants trackname for the udp stream? you know you like a challenge old boy lol!
Done, full track name shown on website and shortened one used in pclapupdater

Weekly Update.

xjay1337 has sewn up the real times league with a week still to go.

However it's still all to play for in the handicap championship with xjay1337, Matt S, me and Ian S all within 3 points of each other and Rob coming up the outside with a late burst and a pre-booked monster of a time at Snetterton.

Handicaps have been updated for Snetterton.

While I'm here I'll be setting up the next championship soon, so I'm looking for submissions for 6 track/car combos, DLC combos are allowed. It's up to you, if there's nothing forthcoming then you'll be left at the mercy of my rather random choices :-)

I'll sometimes see a result and want to make a comment. Needs more button presses to get onto pistinheads.com, find the thread and then navigate to the page.

I know it's a first world lazy git problem so I thought who can I pass the problem on to. Your name sprung to mind

Mclaren P1 at Nurburging GP (not the green hell) plz. wink
OK, we have 1, 5 to go, I'm presuming that's not the bloody 6 minute full jobbie, because that's barred, mainly because I'll never complete a valid lap and it really screws up the handicaps

There is a comments section on the results page, which I keep forgetting about !

Mark, did you see my comments around a theme above or are you after specific car/track combo's. If specific, how about Caterham & Cadwell.
It's on my to-do list to change that comments section to not be race specific and be more of an ongoing chat board, but busy at work at the moment, so it's taking a bit of a back seat currently.

Saw your idea about country specific races, and absolutely fine with it. But still not picking the combos if I can help it, not a good enough driver to know what a good combo is, I just figure if it's difficult, it's difficult for everyone, but then I get all sorts of abuse :-)

So far we have:-

Mclaren P1 at Nurburging GP
GT3 car (which one?) at Oulton Park
Caterham (which one?) Cadwell

Are there any other tracks that are a bit different, must be a lappable one, the one's with different start and finish points just mean you have to keep on restarting, and under bloody 5 miles long!
