the winner is choosing the next car/track combo, so over to andycambo for his choice.
I'll have a good think and will let you know tonight. I'm up for suggestions as well as I haven't explored all the cars and tracks yet so I wouldn't mind trying something new.I started off hating the track/car combo but ended up loving it in the end. Thanks for the comments.

E30 M3 at Magione
Lotus 49 at Silverstone GP Circuit
Lotus Evora S at Valleluga
Ferrari F40 (std or S3) at Silverstone GP Circuit
I find that those cars give me the most realistic sense of driving, and I just picked tracks that I think suit them well I never really got a realistic feeling of driving a car in the slick tyred and frenetic 599xx, it all felt a bit arcadey to me, and along those lines, my least favourite car in AC is without doubt the Formula Arbarth (which is surprising, given that if this was real life it would probably be my favourite).
You also get to pick the tyres, as RSR records that. Obviously we'll be higher up the RSR charts with stickier tyres, but some of the cars are really nice on the standard road tyres, especially the lower powered cars.
Annoyingly AC has just stopped working for me The throttle and brake won't work in-game - they show up fine in the AC 'Controls' setup screen when I move them and in Windows Game Controller setup too, but in the actual driving part of the game they don't do anything. The steering, clutch and gearshift work just fine (I can even configure them as throttle and brake), but not the throttle or brake pedal, they won't do anything. I've not touched the configuration since I was driving last night - weird.
Interesting choice by the way - I've never driven the Exige V6 in AC

I had the same problem. I did the configuration wizard again and that seemed to work.
Thanks. I tried that, along with a reboot, but nothing. Thread started here: http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?forums...
I'm very impressed at how quick AC Support replied - it's well out of working hours in Italy too. Their initial solution suggestion didn't work. Fingers crossed they've got another idea! Because it's a Steam download, I guess a re-installation will mean using up my precious download allowance, but it's worth it to play AC...
I will go first.

- 23 as of this post. Expect that to be 100+ within the hour haha
I don't mean this as an insult to Andy for choosing the Exige S Roadster, but is anyone else finding the handling on the Exige really strange? I've driven every other Lotus in the game and they're just divine, but this is utterly ghastly. Admittedly, I'm not used to flappy paddles, but these ones send shockwaves through the transmission when you change up. The suspension is the weirdest thing though, the nose shoots skyward everytime you come off the brakes and through each corner the whole car's rocking about like a boat in a gale - ghastly. It's even bucking around when I'm braking. It's without doubt the worst handling car I've ever driven.
Perhaps something odd's happened to my installation? I'm off to try a car I know to see if it's the same.
PS - I did a 1:23.828 hanging on for dear life!

Ha ha. You said that about the FXX too!
No I didn't. The 599xx and Pagani etc don't suit a sim very well (which SS77 and I agreed upon and discussed), but the handling of the Ferrari was absolutely fine; no issues. It might just be my screwy controller (see earlier posts)? It's almost undriveable.Edited by RobM77 on Tuesday 14th January 00:50

No offence taken. I don't remember driving the Exige S Roadster yet in AC so can't comment on the handling. Is it the tyres making it tricky or the actual car?I'll hopefully have a bash at it tonight.
Sorry if it's a poor choice! If the majority want to change I don't mind, it's supposed to be fun after all!
