It was working for just after 9am here, had a few games, visuals are incredibly busy which makes it hard to spot the enemy but that's realism I guess. Plays well once you get used to the change to controls or how to use certain things, it's fundamentally the same old system with some tweaks.

I haven't tried Medic but had a go at assault, support and sniper, as is the norm I prefer support but it's probably a case of getting used to the weapons, I found the sniper rifle awful but given how many times I was killed by one I can only assume I'm expecting too much at the moment.

Lots of daft visual customisation options for weapons, unlocks seem to be XP-based and restricted by level.

Some of the levels feel really familiar, or at least aspects of them do.

Tanks, aeroplanes etc need to return to base / a supply post to get more ammo, so essentially after a bombing run in a plane you then have to go back to base or a point at the other end of the map to get more bombs.

Currently you can't seem to spawn on a squad member, or be part of a squad, even though you are in a squad... that doesn't exist, but does exist.

Personally I'm just enjoying playing Lego and putting fortifications up everywhere I can.

It shows promise, it could be good.

Ok had a couple of rounds..

The set up is very annoying currently, when trying to change the load out it drops you right back to the main menu when you "cancel"

However the game play is familiar enough and as above, tanks and planes run out of ammo. That makes it quite a lot more interesting to me.

I don't think we can spot now except for the sniper which is a bit annoying and I don't know if it is just lag but I got insta killed a few times.

I am sure I will be happy to play it often biggrin

Looks like squad spawn has been fixed.

Major bonus with this game however compared to ALL other Battlefield games is a central health and ammo centre, so you no longer need to die because no-one will give you ammo etc...

And really the planes/tanks not having infinite ammo is pretty good too IMHO

Great to have the spawn beacon back. Assuming once dead you can spawn back on your own beacon it will make tag hunting much easier as no need to get through enemy lines first.

Anyone with EA origin or EA access or has pre ordered it can get the beta,

I’ve been playing it and haven’t ordered it yet. I think I will though as it’s very like battlefield 4 but in WW2. Seems better than BF1 and hardline anyway,

Never you mind

With COD WW2 coming to the end ...sad face .. I've been thinking of getting this.

Interested in the campaign multiplayer bit. Is this like the War mode in COD WWII ?

As usual spent 20 minutes in the menus before playing sorting it out.

Motion blur, vignette, chromatic aberration, cinematic grain.... etc. All unnecessary. Upped controller sensitivity. Music thoroughly off. Notifications off. Minimap radius bigger and map bigger. Hit marker and headshot colour change.

Missed aim assist, will turn that off tonight.

I sucked. Haven't played ps4 since 20/12/17 judging by the last game invite!

Giving it a second chance tonight but I didn't enjoy yesterday. Seemed quite a few bugs. For example squad revive resulting in swapping loadouts partially. Getting stuck with oversaturated lighting when leaving a dark area. Bit of rubber banding too but not that bad.

Are people really crying that a beta of a game is buggy and therefore the games st?

You do know that first release will be buggy as Well?

The majority of feedback I've read has been positive, that mirrors my own feelings on it so far. Yes there are some glitchy things that need to be sorted out but compared to other betas and some of the stuff EA consider release-ready I'd say this is pretty well polished.

Anyone else getting "missing multiplayer privileges" now as a message on any Battlefield game including the beta?

I've not made any changes to any account since playing BF1 2 days ago, have xbox live gold, and have preordered. Oddly it's the same message now on BF1 so assume it's some account setting somewhere at EA's end, but their help pages are next to useless!

Keeping an eye on this one. Will be good to get playing a decent multiplayer game again.

Best get the mic dusted off and ready for some shouting! Haha

Directed at me?

No crying here. Surprised it's this close to release with some silly things like the lighting being so off or reflex scopes so dark they are rendered useless. That's all.

Turned aim assist off, brightness up and adjusted field of view last night. Also switched from the broken reflex sight on some of the guns. Improved things to the point we went top squad last night and had the biggest winning margin we've had so far.

Also realised the squad revive/gun swap doesn't seem to be a bug - simply we all made the same mistake of holding the button instead of tapping it.

Anyone know how that tank works, the one you call in as squad leader? Tried it last night and nothing happened. Also the supply drop one seems to take about 4 minutes to arrive... generally either moved on or dead by then.

I haven't managed to call the tank yet, it just tells me it's not available - one rocked up on a map I was playing though, it didn't seem all that effective.

The V2 is ace though smile

managed a couple of games last night with all the kits - had to download early access even I thought I already had and had two attempts to get it loaded with the game telling me I hadn't pre-ordered.

will take while to get used to lack of spotting, hitting that button appears to flag an area instead and swapping between gadgets seems clunkier than bf1.

will have a decent go on it later.

Loads of people sill be signing up to Origin Access or the Premier to play, especially with Anthem and Fifa 19 available at launch. Why pre-order and pay £50 per game, so £150 in the space of 6 months when you can pay £15pm and play anyway?

Amazing isn't it? I mean, do they have tanks and planes you can drive/fly these days? If not, I really can't see the attraction of it, especially when you look at the map sizes
