What pisses me off is having to grind guns to get attachments I have no interest in using.
I'm looking at you snipers.
To get an attachment for a gun I do use, I have to use a gun I hate for ages to get it.
Tuning is interesting, I've started using the VEL46 and you can get it to be absolutely filthy ADS speed, the damage distance is short but the hip fire and mobility is great.

I am currently using the MP5 (sorry, lachman sub) to get a gunsight that I want. Had to level up two other guns to get this one too), it is utterly pants at anything other than point blank range. I am getting killed by anyone at more than 15 paces... Even when I start shooting them first they just turn and I am dead... FFS>I think the levelling up will look different once hardcore launches today because in hardcore the crap guns become viable. I levelled up the M16, which is generally considered the worst gun in the game and was a depressing grind. But I saw a vid on YouTube yesterday saying it will have the potential to kill with a single bullet in hardcore. At worst, a single burst should now kill most of the time. So if i ever do the camo challenges for it I'd only do so in hardcore. Equally the SP-R 208 that's OP in standard will be much less effective in hardcore as you'll be dropped by someone running a quick ADS sub before you get your shot off.

It is a piss-poor system and a dreadful, hated decision. Having to play using guns you wouldn't normally touch (sniper rifles, primarily) means completely changing your playstyle. It is awful. I'd rather have higher XP requirements for unlocks than this stupid scattered tree. I'm looking at you snipers.

You might not like it but what you describe is the purpose of it. Getting everyone to play differently. It’s what the camo, daily and operator challenges have always done as well. I think it makes the game a bit more interesting. It’s noticeable how varied the weapons are people are using, for example.
I own a physical copy of MW2 and have been playing it for a few days, enjoying the old school run and gun as I’ve been playing warzone for the last year.
So I went to the Microsoft store last night to start the download for warzone 2. Had a look this morning and all good, it was 57% downloaded so I was expecting all to be done when I got home this evening.
So I loaded up the game and tried to access normal multiplayer (warzone isn’t live until 6pm tonight) and it said I need to purchase the game!?? Huh!?? It’s already in the Xbox!? Turns out that the campaign mode and co-op mode is not installed for MW2 so I couldn’t play anything even though I was last night. I now have a massive download to do!
Absolutely fuming as I’ve no idea why it’s done it. Was I meant to get warzone 2 through the game menu and not the Microsoft store? Grrrrrrrr…
