I'm not going to make it tonight. At the moment I've too many things that keep cropping up to get involved in a set time/day championship so I'll just send out some friend requests based on the ganer tags I see posted and join in for ad hoc racing as and when.

Cheers,
Matt
Fair enough Matt, thanks for letting us know. I'll put you as a priority maybe and hand your slot to LukeBird, hope you can still join us later in the season. thumbup

Quick question are we aloud the racing line on? As I can hardly make it round for a single lap without it.

I'll add the two points together for the end first round result... Top race guys, bloody terrifying at times and absolutely hilarious at others. thumbup Cheers too for StumpyAlan for joining us in a practice before hand, scarily quick! I reckon with a bit of practice we'll all pick up the pace a bit and continue on the great racing. Next week; Laguna Seca. eek

Thanks again to all who compete, was an absolute pleasure - hope everyone enjoyed it too. sorry I had to leave, family needed the TV at 9 for some crappy show. frown

OP updated. Bloody close champ standings thus far, next race; LAGUNA SECA, which will see me back at the back of the grid. frownhehe

Mrobertshaw, no worries - sorry I was moaning so much! wink I made up for it in race 2 thankfully. thumbup You're results dont display the improvement you made in the second race, was like night and day in comparison, nice one.

Excellent fun chaps - really enjoyed that. Don't think I'll be bothering the front runners in the near future that's for sure - some high quality driving there!

See you next week, if not before... although I've just found Oblivion... I lost 5 hours of my life on it last night and can see that being a regular thing!

Mike.

That was a really good giggle. I enjoyed that. Some really nice driving, especially some of the drifts by those who were really pushing it!

Your 2:07.57 was very nice indeed. And yes, in the practice I was trying to catch up with you guys and was somewhat on it. Put in a 2:07.540 I think smile

Hope I didn't run anyone of the road too badly... paperbag
Anyhow, I've had a quick blast around Laguna in the M3, looks like it could be fun. I think I set around a 1:40, just to up the ante! wink

Haha! Awesome shots, liking the commentary - OMG LAG!!! Superb shots, glad to see someone else saved the replays - was interesting watching various peoples lines!

The below picture sums up my first race. frown Have watched the replay several times over and I should have just stayed on the grass and slowed down before trying to re-join, it was the second nudge that had me in the wall, I thought I was heading there after the first, but it looked holdable in the replay. Lesson learnt for next time... thumbup

Good racing last night guys! smile

No idea what was going on in the second race though, I got punted into the wall at the start and the the lag caused everything to go very wierd. Cars were teleporting all over the place, or just appeared to be sitting at the side on the racetrack. It was even telling me I was running in 3rd by the end of the race despite being 8th and miles behind. Going to try a different setup next week on my network to see if the lag is on my end.

Digby - I think this is my favourite shot;

This is what I had in mind at the start of the championship thread; pretty much the 92 BMW 318IS touring cars all mixing it together when touring cars were truly great!

I have a feeling it may have been your connection matey, every other car was fine for me, but yours appeared to lose traction on the grid, then it flew to the left and then to the right before coming to rest by the wall.In the pics of it above, it was doing around 2000 mph across the track lol. That may have also been the reason it took a while to load the races, that tends to happen if someone is lagging behind a bit.

Good racing though everyone, it will probably help though if people look around with the other stick before risking a turn etc tongue out

I spent a few laps on the second race trying not to hit the green car (who was that?) up the rear and lost a position or two as others risked going for it as I slowed, but then on the last corner a couple of you went a bit wide and my car just had the legs to cross the line in second (despite some attempted blocking) hehe Heart pounding stuff driving

Muchos enjoyable!

Could have been, but what I saw happening when I went into the wall was nothing like the images you posted. When I went into the wall I was spun around 180, and then there was a car, that rammed into my front stopping me moving anywhere. After a few seconds it just teleported away and I was able to turn around and drive off. I'm going to try and connect my xbox directly to my router next week so we'll see what happens.

Sirtainly, I saw the same as Digby, numerous odd movements, then teleports and locking of brakes/wheelspin in odd places. Didnt see anyone else have any issues. Try the new set up, hope it improves things for you. thumbup
