PLEASE tell me this is a joke?

I had the extreme misfortune of testing this game and I would rather poke out meyes with a sharp stick than ever go near it again!

Seeing a few familiar games in here so far...My top 10

1. Return to Castle Wolfenstein (PC) - imo the best ever MP shooter with proper objectives, classes that HAD to work together, and capturable spawn points. Awarded GOTY and I lost 4 years of my life to it at uni

2. Goldeneye (N64)

3. Duke Nukem 3D

4. Modern Warfare 2 - MP is obviously immense, but have been well impressed with the SP campaign.

5. Super Street Fighter 2

6. Ufo Enemy Unknown - so unknown but oh so good.

7. Fallout 3

8. Carmageddon - begging for a remake.

9. GTA - Vice City

10. Super Mario - (nes)

Totally unforgiving, but very rewarding once you crack it. Still one of the best racing sims out there.

Actually,

humble apologies

My time addled brain cells are getting confused with Spirit of speed

(and if you know that game you know I owe the developers of GPL a BIG sorry!)

Yep, spirit of speed was complete shyte, shame actually because that era of racing cars is a great premise for a sim.

And you post on a site called Pistonheads?

You have much to learn, Grasshopper.

GPL is still considered a benchmark never bettered in some respects 11 years after release.

  • EDIT*
Just read the rest of the thread.
You're forgiven wink

Gran Turismo 2 - PSX (soo much time!)
Starcraft - PC (proper lan/battle.net fodder for 10 years!)
Super Mario Kart - SNES (still the definitve version for some reason)
Secret of Monkey Island 2 - Amiga
Lemmings - Amiga (best version, no contest)
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening - Gameboy (addictive + portable = winning combination!)
NHL Hitz 2002 - PS2 (I've lost count of the hours me and a couple of friends have spent on this)
Quake - PC (dare I admit to having my own customised config for this?)
Descent - PC (some of the best level design ever, truly revolutionary in its day)
Gears of War - Xbox 360 (best co-op since Descent)

GTA 3 - Started it all PC version for me.
Goldeneye - N64 Addictive
Final Fantasy 7 - PC version for me so much depth to the game. Best cast of Final Fantasy characters as well.
Halo Reach - 360 Played it for weeks now and love it.
Black & White - PC version very clever game, started the whole decision making paradigm within a game.
Diablo - PC addictive hack and slash.
Forza 3 - 360 Best racing game I've played.
Carmaggedon - PC Most fun racing game i've played.
Elder Scrolls Oblivion - 360 hugely addictive game so much to see and do.
Football Manager - PC been addicted since 2001.

Also Battlefield Bad Company Two for being so massive, very entertaining and having great on-line support apart from the first week or so when the servers kept falling over.
