I don't want to know what people are driving but what sort of practise lap times are you getting on the high speed ring in your chosen car?

My car is 397bhp and weighs 1255kg and I got a 1min 11secs.

Im using Tsukuba as my testing ground, high 57's if anyones interested. Ive narrowed it down to 2 cars and they are both putting in almost the exact same times. It just going to come down to which one i find easier to drive....

Okay, I'm going to have a go at that track and see what I come out at.

You try high speed ring in the mean time?

I managed to get the time down to 1min 8.9 secs with a bit of set up.

Why is your car only 316.3 bhp/ton? You can have another 21bhp to be on the 333bhp/ton limit.

thx Daiblos

Rex218 & darkdice have kindly offered to host thumbup (if anyone else wants to offer to split the load that'd be handy)

best if everyone has at least these guys added as friends so that you can enter easily through their private lounge. Go to your community section, click on their avatar and scroll down to lounge (coffee cup) there should be a yellow symbol next to the coffee cup, click on that to join room/track.

your BB speed is pretty good guys so if one of you argue could get a private room up and ready for latest 8.30 tomorrow that'd be trumps!
if you could post here as to which of you it's going to be that'd be cool

High speed ring? nice and wide with easy overtake opportunities for people to get used to 16 players, but open to other suggestions??
Sports Soft max
Min damage to start, maybe try max damage for 2nd race?
333hp per ton, so open kg & hp
ABS only as an aid
(usual really)

Dont worry if you've not chosen your final car yet, this is only a shakedown before next weeks start, but if we could get car choices finalised by end of next week it would be good, it gives me time to add them to the final draft of the Championship and post at the beginning of this thread.

Here's to some good, clean non 1st corner lunging racing biggrindriving

Car number 1 i mangaed a 1.09.3xx

Car number 2 i managed a 1.09.6xx

My first choice certainly felt easier to drive on this track compared to Tsukuba! There may have been a couple of 10ths to find with some mild tweaking and a bit of luck =0 but overall not bad...

Must have spent about 6 hours searching the dealerships, buying, tuning and tracking about 15 different cars. Had 2 all ready to go then a tasty little number popped up in the classifieds and has put a spanner in the works.

I have 1 car which fits in the 400bhp 1200kg category but handles like a pig :-(

Hey all, im not going to lie, after however many countless hours playing GT games, i have never REALLY understood the different suspension set ups and how they affect the car. This championship has lead me to bother to find out what it is im actually doing when changing dampers and spring rates and stuff and how to make my car better...

I stumbled accross this little guide earlier that may be of use to others who arnt quite so mechanically knowledgable like myself!

part of the fun eh biggrin

many of the cars I tried were nasty, just understeered everywhere, then I found out I was adjusting the differential the wrong way banghead

I thought increasing the slider bar on acceleration and deceleration would make both more aggressive and create more oversteer when on or off the throttle but it's actually the other way round silly

now some of the cars I ruled out are turning in ok with plenty of lift off oversteer and power out with a nice controllable slide.

have you tried the Lotus Esprit?

I was tempted by the lotus but opted out against in the end.

Ive tried a lot of cars, Hondas, BMW's, Ginetta's, TVR's, Skylines, Toyota, mercedes even a Ferrari!

I can get get lap times on the high speed ring but technical circuits like TSUKUBA my cars find difficult and oversteer like a biatch!
