I'm a bit lost in all the noise about this game - can anyone give me a tldr about what's wrong with it?
- It's an asset flip of Fo4 despite Bethesda promising it was amazing, new, 4x better textures, etc.
- It has all the bugs that unmodded unpatched Fo4 had, despite the above. They couldn't even be bothered to engage the modding community to bring in all the bug fixes that others did on Fo4 for them.
- It's buggy as hell. Like Alpha buggy. Despite the "beta" programme.
- They engaged in False Advertising on the Collector's Edition and their handling of it has been shameful.
- Likewise the game itself.
- The game doesn't really know what it wants to be and tries to be all things to all people but ends up being no things to all people.
Here's a good additional background video of the head story manager at Bethesda and their simplification (dumbing down) of the speech options and more - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bi51-wjcwp8

Has anybody here actually played it?
I'm still playing it, have done since the PC beta went up. I enjoy the game, and it suits how I played the previous games anyway, but everything being said about the issues with it and that things need to be fixed/improved is correct.A big-name developer putting out a full-price game in a well-known series really should do a hell of a lot better at this.

Yep and really enjoying it. I must've sunk over 1000 hours into the previous 3 games and for me the only thing missing has been the ability to explore the wastes with a buddy .. now I can Sure it's glitchy, buggy etc but which Bethesda game isn't .. the fact people expect anything else from them surprises me more than the general dislike for 76. At the end of the day if you're a Fallout fan you'll like it .. if you've a good friend or 2 to play it with don't plan on getting much in the real world done !JoyCV8 said:

Yes, but unlike previous Bethesda games, the mod community aren't going to be able to fix all those bugs for them this time. But I'm genuinely happy for you that you're enjoying it.

Fair enough, I guess which platform you're playing on makes a difference .. mods only came to console late on with FO4 and didn't add a great deal for me.JoyCV8 said:

That's because you were stuck with about 10% of available mods because the consoles weren't allowed to run certain mods that run scripts or were over a certain size. Plus you were restricted to what was uploaded to Beth.net or the Creation Club, missing out on the best mods on the Nexus sites. I believe the PS4 network didn't even allow mods that used external assets so even less use.https://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2016/06/fal...
