Whats the server called these days?

I can't see it on my list, only 1 server running Gallardo mod.

Reminder :

Free Practice between 20:30 and 20:45
Qulaification between 20:45 and 21:00
Race at 21:00

See you all tomorrow.
I'm just downloading the Gallardos and brands hatch now. Last time I played rFactor was the last league race... I'm not expecting to be competetive.

What sort of numbers are we expecting tonight?

Spoke too soon - I can't seem to get a copy of the Brands v1.01 patch, neither of the link on fFactorcentral are working for me. Can anyone help me out with a copy, or is the server running v1.0?

The second link works for me. Send me an email and I'll reply with the patch (it's not too big).

I think the server is running V1.0 as that's what I have and it didn't bump me off. Can someone else check.

Car selections (that I know of) have been added to the Roster in the results file.

If there is a duplicate tonight - it's on a first come basis - so get there early to avoid disappointment smile

Shit, i thought when MJ said start at 21.00, he meant start practice at 21.00. Oh well sooner finish i suppose. I was racing weds and thurs night using just V1.0 and didnt get booted.

Typical, 1/2 hour to go and my pc decides it wants to freeze up on me again - **cking thing.........

It's out the window next time.....

Will try to get the thing up and running, but not sure if it will run the race without another problem.

Someone send me the race files if I don't make it

Fudge. I've just tried to join the server and found I've got the wrong version. Downloading now, hopefully i'll still make it in time.

That'll teach me for not sorting things out in a timely fashion!

And it happened again..... first call tomorrow is to the idiots who sold me this thing...... You would think for a £1400 base unit the thing would actually have the decency to work mad

It seems ISI host their files with rapidshare (how very professional of them), so I'm sat looking at a 16Kbps download. I'll never get it in time to join the race.

That coupled with the fact that the Gallardo zip file I downloaded is corrupt, and this week is a total balls ache for me.

It does serve to remind me why other than rFactor I've completely given up on PC gaming now.

Interesting race, after only 5 laps in the week and a few before the race today where I changed more things in the setup than any other car I've driven I found it slightly less happy to throw itself at the scenery than I had previously found. I made some progress to from 5th on the grid to 2nd after 3-4 laps, then had a big moment at Paddock Hill. In trying to hold it and recover it seems my wheel decided to feck up and jump whatever there is inside (cogs or belts) meaning now to drive in a straight line I had to turn the wheel 30 degrees or so to the right, making cornering tricky. After the 29th off course moment caused by running wide on the exit or too tight on the turn in I managed to finish, can't remember where though. A new wheel I think is needed.

It was definitely a mechanical problem but I think a good hard yank (fnar) to the left might fix it, or I might get my tools out and open it up.

That was good fun smile Having qualified 2nd (dunno how that happened?!) I think I let half the field past by the 3rd corner! Then settled down to a steady pace. Had a few moments - someone spinning on the entry to Clearways and having to do an emergency stop to avoid them with a car very close behind eek and FWD recovering on the approach to Druids and suddenly appearing in front of me eek
Managed to hold it together with Adam and Cliff equally spaced ahead and behind me by around 5 secs for most of the race. A few brown trouser moments getting the tyres on the grass, but managing to keep it pointing in generally the right direction... eventually finishing a solid 3rd smile
