yes Something to do with cheap lap tops graphics cards and Open GL. It needs Open GL2.0 to run. My laptop had 1.3. Although if it only has 1.3 it won't even get to the main screen. Just refuses to work.

Handy hint for you Jake, if you find your inventory is full, fill the crafting area with things, they'll stay there and allow you to pick up other stuff.

EDIT: Also, for your goul trap, have you tried digging the blocks of dirt from under your wall to see if it would allow you to place the cacti blocks right next to it, this way there wouldn't be a straight path through to you.

Just watched the last video Jake (haven't watched any of the others in full), and I think it's convinced me to part with £8… I played the free version last night and could see potential, but it seemed to lack some important bits and pieces that look to be included in the Alpha (like actually being able to craft…)

I'm very intrigued by this. For £8 it looks like a bit of a bargain. One problem, will it work on a Mac running Snow Leopard?

The Demo works fine on my iMac.

Superb. I'll give it a whirl. So to sum up is it basically like building a never ending Lego world whilst being chased by Skeletons?

You can do what I did and turn off the skeletons while I explored a mahooooosive cave system (About 15-20 hours worth right there). Im not into the whole kill stuff in minecraft, iv got modern warfare 2 for that wink

The full version works fine on Snow Leopard, even has a client you can download and run so you don't need to run it through a browser.

I have been following the 'X' bloke on his adventures. In today's episode, after quite a few days away from his island, he found a nice seam of 4 or so diamond blocks - right next to a lava stream. It does seem like diamond spawns next (or at least close to) lava streams. I won't spoil what happens if you are following his adventures.

It is a great game, but at the moment it only goes so far. I definitely think it is the sort of thing you come back to and have a potter around though. I really hope the developer introduces a compass/gps and an ability to change your respawn point.

This evening I thought I would take a step back from hard mode and have a look around my island. This floating island is just asking to have a Dr Evil style base built on it! I'm not sure what style though.

Jake, what are you using to capture it?
I think it might be worth putting up my inane ramblings as well hehe

Also jake, if you haven't already. Sod making halfblocks, make stairs, it's a block of 3 stone, then 2 then 1 going from left to right. Can be done with dirt and wood as well. I've made hundreds, i've easily got 500 steps set down now.

ETA. and put some bloody signs up over your chests! hehe

Is there a way to fast forward the night? I keep building a house and not being able to mine whatever it is you need to make torches, so just sit in my house waiting for day to come the first time around…
