1. No you don't need Blops Cold War. Not played it. Some people seem to like it. Some don't!

2. I'm not sure anything has yet established itself as like a must use weapon which is good. Lots of talk about Amax, FFAR, Cold War MP5, Aug, VAL.

You can get cold war guns in warzone but if you don't buy CW you can't use them in multiplayer to level up, you have to level them in warzone. Quick way is plunder and doing contracts as contracts give xp to whatever gun you are holding when they complete.

There is a free to play zombies weekend this weekend if you wanted to try some cold war.

I don't particularly enjoy the CW MP or Zombies.

As a way to illustrate that, one of my mates would typically get to 155 and do all the officer progressions perhaps a couple of weeks ahead of me. At the moment I am level 20 in CW and he is level 250 something. I just don't play it much any more.

So, after Resurgence Rebirth Trios was brought back by popular demand, they've replaced it with quads, which seems too much for a map this size. Warzone solos also seems to have disappeared.

Why do the devs feel the need to f**k about with game modes people are happy with?

I wish they would bring 24/7 shipment back to MP MW. Or shoot the ship playlist. I really like the small, frantic games and ‘realism ground war’ just doesn’t do it for me.

Shipment keeps coming around. Usually kill confirmed or gun games. Shoot house tends to appear as demolition/cyber attack that kind of thing.

Can you unlock the new Blops guns in WZ? I made the mistake of buying blops and it's awful, quite honestly it even put me off playing WZ, doubly so when I read about the DMR fiasco...

I don't own Black ops and I have unlocked some of the weapons, you just rank them up slower

Got a quality Ruthless on Petrov Oil Rig other night (15 kills without dying).

Was using an Uzi, completely expended all the ammo after 6 or 7 kills. Picked up some random gun off a kill, another 4 kills. Picked up another random gun off a kill, more kills. Ended up racking up 18 kills straight before i finally got picked off.

Should definitely get a badge for killing someone with their own gun i think! that's the ultimate middle finger!

That was one of the weekly challenges, although I think they've stopped those now. I think you had to kill 20 people with their on gun, much like most challenges, Shipment was great for it!

what loadouts are people running now on Warzone?

As i only have MW i'm on:

Amax (everyone saying this is now back to being top banana)
Uzi or MP5

We only really play Plunder. I'm using a slightly modified version of the blujay blueprint (M13). I opted for ghost rather than overkill. I'm rubbish with a sniper so just blast people with an RPG when required. I use cold blooded so the attach chopper doesn't get me, ghost to hide from the heartbeat sensors and spotter which works great when you tag someone and they run into a building to hide. Avoided a few deaths by running in and spotting the footprints of someone hiding behind a door. I also run thermite and a heartbeat sensor. We normally get 1 or 2 wins a night and rarely fall outside the top 5. My mates are better than me but I tend to get 3 to 7 kills per game of my own using it.

Another one running the M13 in every game. Used to use the Grau for months then it was the Kilo meta then used the DMR.
Back on the M13 and depending on map I pair it with a AS VAL or Mac10 if it looks like a tight map with buildings and short range battles. If the map is looking open such as the hills or dam I will grab either a HDR or Kar98 to go with the M13.
If you use the AS VAL bell aware it also uses assault rifle ammo, make sure to buy a munitions box.

With the M13 I run 60 round clip, commando foregrip, monolithic suppressor, the longest barrel (can't remember what it's called) and EITHER the Vlk scope or the Solozero thermal depending on how the map looks, I prefer the Solozero as most people run E.O.D in perk 1 rather than cold blooded.

I run overkill for Loadout 1 and take C4 and Heartbeat. Loadout 2 I go ghost and swap the heartbeat for Stun grenades.

Hit 90 warzone wins the other day, ticking along nicely.

MP5 recoil is a bit mad now, and they've nerfed the range, don't use it anymore, back on MP7 as apparently that's back to being one of the top MW SMGs.

So now it's:
Amax + MP7 (though now hearing some saying the Grau is back for an AR...)
Semtex or Molotov (i love the molotov in MP mode, sometimes i just run around using that)
Stun Grenade

then for Perks:
EOD
Overkill (for first loadout, Ghost for second)
Amped

on the new map last few weeks, the campers, snipers and aimbots seem to be playing, even had a wall hacker.

on Plunder and picked up an Access Card, midway through the steal i get a Bounty on my head, so obviously it was easy for them to pick me off. So annoying!

Loads of hackers in CW at the moment. Wall hacks and aim bots abound. So obvious when they’re tracking you through a wall on the kill cams.

Yes it's weird it's been ok last few weeks then bang they all turn up.

Been a few weeks since I played warzone and ended up with a quads win tonight. That was a nice surprise.
