BIRMA Make sure you have all your power pips set in shield and weapons and engines with none spare, with 1 left in grav drive in case you need to escape.

I have always assumed so against ballistic based ammo fired at you. Can't say I have ever tested or noticed though.

Also, I might have a go at making this one.

I think the ship technician in Akila is getting bullied, he always looks depressed standing in a corner or sitting in his chair and on my last visit someone had stolen his table. It was back the next time, I guess he paid the ransom.

Got an achievement for visiting every star system this morning. They must track it for your character over all resets as I'd just gone through one to clear some resource tracking bugs.
Just got that myself, only 3.3% on Steam. Only Shipping magnate (connecting 5 outposts) and Life Begets Life (collecting 500 organic resources) are lower.

That can get a bit sticky, I got rid of Vasco (unassigning him so he went back to the Lodge) because he kept blocking corridors then for some reason (I had the extra crew slots) got everyone including him back, then when I assigned he again to one of my 3 outposts he kept appearing outside my ship despite not being part of the crew or appearing inside. Unassigned him again to go back to the lodge and after maybe 6 or 7 landings he finally disappeared.

What do you mean RTX and windows 11 causing issues ? I’m running a 4070 and windows 11 it’s running great with everything maxed out.

If you are running your 8gb 4060 with the settings too high you may be getting low on vram.
I have seen lots of info about a Windows 11 update that upset the game. I deleted it and the game ran better but then it seems to have auto installed itself again..

How do I improve Vram? Settings were on low.. I can change them to high, med or low and it is still the same.
There must be something else that's causing it, I have 24GB of VRAM and the most I have ever seen allocated is 8.7GB and the game usually sits around 6-8GB and that's maximum settings at 1440p. Allocated VRAM also means how much it can use (spare), not how much it needs to use.

Have you updated Nvidia GPU drivers?

Can you post a screenshot of your games display settings. There may be something else you need to turn on or off.

It's the same old problems inherited from previous games so I wonder how much behind the models and textures is new and not reused code.

When you go into a bar and two of the three customers are identical. You get this everywhere outside and inside, despite an infinite character creation for yourself the variation of NPCs is very poor.

Invisible chairs.

The melting NPCs

And I was happy to see one of my crew sitting down, eating and watching TV, until the last patch. I haven't seen this since the update.

I even saw my first naked guard, you might remember them from Skyrim. Didn't get a screen shot though. Still to see a T pose guard. There's time still.

To me it seems they have put attention into some areas of quests but very little into the others. She ship building is fun but what do you use the ships for, a bit of space fighting and then the rest is used as landing and take off loading screens which is uncontrollable. I think they even added the temple powers just to flesh it out more and use up the old Skyrim magic and shouting mechanics. Apart from maybe one moment there are no consequences to how you play the game and the decisions you take, which is just like Skyrim and Fallout 4. Moving around planets there is nothing to find except the very limited variation of POIs manned by Spacers/Eclipitic or Crimson Fleet or outposts that want you kill the Spacers/Ecliptic/Crimson Fleet nearby or help them monitor gas vents. At least in Skyrim and Fallout 4 you could encounter things on the way to the place you were going. We are told by companions that Aggies Bar in Akila is a rough place, but there's only ever four people standing around doing nothing in there.

It's needs the creation kit released so people with design and vision can add the content sadly lacking.

There is currently 35,917 players on Steam playing Starfield, there are currently 23,742 on Steam playing Skyrim (a 12 year old game) because it's been comprehensively modded.

Here we go. I converted one of my ships, it's still a bit too big for the engines as I'm trying to hide them from the side view. Got the sponsons with the guns (liberty taken with lasers).

Removed some habs moved things a little, repainted and now it's shorter with a more accurate length/width for a WWI tank.

My crew always used to do things, or relax in the mess hall.

But now, I have a big ship but I couldn't find them last night. After quite some time checking all around I found them all in one corner of the workshop. I think they were having a meeting, maybe because I never take any of them with me. I fear for my life now.

This has potential - https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/6194

Puts the interior of the Lodge into a ship, Tardis-like. More importantly the unlimited storage of the lodge in easy to reach access to move all the duplicated rubbish from the ships cargo you get stored when changing hab modules.

With the Ship Decor mod - https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/4735 - you can add all the interior fixtures and fittings you need back in.
