Call of Duty: WWII

Rubbish, not a patch on BF1.

Just finished the Campaign, zombies is ok, MP is typical frantic COD and the maps are tiny, the only point of any rifle is for quick scoping.

Maps are also rubbish, a new skin on an old game, nothing ‘new’, I’ll trade it in now SE BF2 is here.

Pretty much what i thought. Im going to rent it to play through the single player than send it back

Well I managed to download the SP and MP sections over 24 hours for the PC and the first evening I got stuck into the single player mode just to get used to it. It all appeared to work fine but Steam was as clunky as ever.

Day 2 I tried to start the game. Nadda. Zilch. Nothing. Game tries to start from Steam and states running then synch'ing then stops. Tried Google for suggestions and it seems I am not the only one with this issue?

Turned Steam off the reboot - nothing
Graphic card and all Windows updates installed - no change
Reinstalled directx 11.0 - no change

As a last resort I have uninstalled and I am currently doing another 24 hr download to start again. If that doesn't work then it will be going back to Amazon (How the hell I do that when I have only bought a key code I don't know?).

Yeah I’m enjoying it now to be fair. I tend to play HC Domination and it’s superb when the teams are balanced. Only thing I would like is A. No party option because if you get against a clan or group who are good then it’s frustrating!

Before I give this game away. Are there any plans to release larger maps with 64 players?

The single plyer campaign is very impressive. But Battlefield 1 has moved things on so much this game just feels like a reskinned Black Ops 2.

- Glitch on the map near base A (Forget the name) People sitting in there all game because you can’t see them fully on HC.

- Rage quitters

- Join and quit quitters!

- Kill wes who literally don’t go for objectives all they want to do is....

-...Spawn Kill/Spawn Trap

- Boosting...just played a game where someone captured 8 bases 30+ kills in game against me. Next game on my team 2-39 with zero captures.

Overall I’m enjoying the game. Just need some decent HC players to team up with...

Definately be reporting that one, Sledgehammer have said they will be banning cheaters quite intensely once the problems are sorted, biggest one is the wall glitch on Du Pont, I hate that map anyway, but everytime it appears now someone is using the glitch, so will leave the game straight away.

I've never really see the problem with people who quit games, weather it's rage quitting or joining and quitting. If you don't want to play a certain map why should you stay on it. As for rage quitters, if you're getting battered again, why bother sitting there. I have never really noticed quitters until the end of the game when every ones stats come up unless they're the hosts.

UPDATE

Well the game is now working. Tried a full PC restart and tried MP mode. This time the game stated that it shut down incorrectly last time (I have only just reinstalled the whole thing and not had it running yet) and did I want to play in 'Safe mode'. I selected that and it all then worked...after a fashion.

30 minutes in the battle sounds all went weird and jumpy. Ran it again today and it sounds fine.
Very laggy servers making some MP mode games (Gibraltar free for all) unplayable. I'm fine in WoT and BF2.

It works but it has more bugs than a rotting pig carcass!

The odds of someone playing properly and dying 56 times with 1 in reply is slim. They are probably helping their mates on the other team, it’s called boosting.

^^^This. If the servers were good enough to replace people who drop out quickly, it wouldn't be such an issue. Unfortunately the WWII servers aren't up to it yet. I've had a couple of games where it's suddenly felt like i can't move for being shot and lo-and-behold, it's because a 6v6 has turned into 6v2/3. It's frustrating when you're on the wrong end of it!

I don't know, sometimes it can actually liven up a game. You can switch from run and gun and play a more of a survivor mode. I was on Stormfront on Ghosts not long ago. It's not a map I like and encourages the camping brigade. My team were getting destroyed as 4 of the 6 opponents were pretty much sapping the fun out of the game with thermal VKS guns and properly camping. One my one my team mates deserted me until we were down to 2. I played the last 2 minutes of the game alone.

I changed to a short range silenced fast class and hid. Eventually they got bored of lying prone at the back of the map and started to hunt me down. As soon as one ran past me I'd take him out and run as fast as I could to another hideaway. I actually finished top and took a lot of abuse, ironically for camping!
