Well today is the day are we all excited. I think ive decided im going to see if my sister wants it for her five year old boy. I offered to get her a nes but she thought he was too young when they came out to play with one.

Anyone remember when the nes classic came out, no one was really that bothered and preordering was dead easy it was only after it was released things went mental!

After missing out on the John Lewis farce (had one in basket at 20:00:01, then the website went down... when it came back the fkers were out of stock) I was actually looking at gmail when a stock alert for Game popped in.

Took a bit of time for the order email to turn up but should be delivered today. Hurrah.

My old snes is still in use in the dining room, sensible soccer, Mario kart, super tennis, Mario all-stars and Starfox in regular rotation. Been looking for a non over priced copy of Donkey Kong country so I'm quite excited - for a mid forties grown man..

Hope they make an N64 mini. That will be awesome

Delivery address is a school and I've checked our cctv - no fking delivery entered our premises at all, the lying wkers. Only option is to send a message on nintendo site which I've done. frown

May just be a mis-scanned package and it'll be with you later

I had the email to say it was delivered before they actually delivered it?

One of the lads here popped out to pick his pre-order up from Game after asking nicely. Well, one good turn deserves another, so I've had him open it up and we've spent the last hour or so playing SF2T, F-Zero, Contra 3 etc biggrin We may not get any work done this afternoon now...

Funny thing is that he's only 22, so has never ever seen much less played on a SNES. This is all a new experience for him, and I really envy him being able to start Zelda 3 or SMW not knowing what's coming.

16:36 - 17:36 delivery window for me.

Cannot contain how excited I am for this, despite have my original SNES in fully working order, and a Raspberry Pi. Not even looked at buying the Xbox One X, but was bitterly disappointed when I thought I'd missed out on the mini SNES. Luckily got one from Toys R Us. Happy Friday!

Yes, it's the same hardware as the NES Classic.

I'm a little confused with the snes mini. After the recent turmoil Nintendo was in a few years back with the Wii U turning out to be abit of a flop. Making these mini classic consoles is basically like having a license to print money.

Now.....why have they made these in such limited numbers? Or is it simply a case of production is flat out but still can't meet demand Worldwide?

They did the same thing with mini NES. They pretty much immediately discontinued it. This time around people knew it was going to happen (or should've done).

I managed to get two without too much effort when they went live, so don't know why others haven't.

As to why, who knows? There is talk about more supply over Christmas but wouldn't be surprised if they didn't discontinue this one too.

Basically scalpers paradise.
