Favourite video game car

Yes, same game. I think it was one of the (if not the) first game to be a proper race simulator and not an arcade racer. The physics was outstanding at the time. To able to finely adjust things like camber and stagger and it have a proper effect was fascinating to me. I’d like to have a go now to see how it’s aged.
Yes I would as well. Was great how you could change the settings and feel the impact it has on the car. I think I played with keyboard too, so it wasn't force feedback but it still gave a great idea of where the car was understeering or loose.
I think there was an Indycar 2 as well, with a full season's worth of tracks. I got that too but couldn't get into it because my computer really just wasn't fast enough for it.

I restarted this earlier, and I didn't think that I was ever going to get past the driving test bit at the start! I don't remember it being that difficult when I did it years back. I was chuffed to get past it because it is still a great game to play I reckon. A great load of nostalgia in this thread! I'm a huge video game fan, spent the afternoon today in Timewarp arcade (highly recommended) with my son, superb amount of varied machines to play on, on free play, just pay a small entry fee to enter the venue and enjoy everything inside. Staff mega friendly and the snack and drinks are really fairly priced. The whole atmosphere and environment is spot on. (Can get busy during certain periods but the price doesn't change)
As for my favourite video game car... wow that's really tough for me to answer personally. I'm going to go retro and say the 300ZX from SCI (Special Criminal Investigation) closely followed by the Porsche 928 from Chase H.Q. along side the Testarossa from Outrun coming in for my third pick.
I love and respect Outrun, but I've always preferred the Taito offerings since I was a little kid. I prefer having an objective of going mega fast along the stage to be met with a stage finale of smashing up the bad guys.
I own the above games I mentioned in various formats, but I just can't help fire up either on the PC engine or Saturn to play either, even for a 30 minute quickie, but nothing beats playing on the proper machines.
Any SHMUP fans here? I'm a huge Raiden fan and this arcade does not disappoint, not only I was I lost here for a while, I lost a lot of time on Detana!! TwinBee too (Bells and Whistles for the non-jap versions) which was next to SCI. (even got the days high score on it) We also managed to complete Gunblade and Virtua cop 2 (not photoed) which were both as awesome as I remembered.
Some more pics of the overall experience
Plus plenty of other machines I didn't snap. Genuinely a blast from the past

Great pics thanks. They took me back to the 80's when I used to finish school and head straight to my local arcade. They were fantastic times and I always enjoyed the whole arcade/video games vibe back then for sure.
