If anyone else is finding that their performance tanked with Patch 2.0, try deleting the stuff in
C:\Users\[Your name]\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077\
There's a cache file in there and a settings json file.
My benchmark fps dropped from 51 to 28 in 2.0. After deleting the settings it's now at 59. Same settings on all runs.
If I had any sense, I would have saved the old version, diffed it with the new version and sent a bug report to CDPR. But I didn't think of that.
Did you have to reset your settings? Using the FPS test I saw no change and as a whole it's similar to before (but CPU is my limit), however a ffew times it has suddenly slowed right down for a few seconds.C:\Users\[Your name]\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077\

It ran fine, it was just performing awfully. I was seeing 1 core maxed at 100%.Deleted my settings and it seems fine now. About the same as before. Maybe a bit faster.
I am running it on a 44 core dual Xeon machine though...so maybe my experience isn't typical....
I've got 360+ hrs on the game with about 8 play throughs so this isn't an newbie thing - I'm not a fan of vanilla V2.0, I much prefer my modded to crap V1.63 after about 7hrs in V2.0 so far.
I've got the expansion coming so I'll play through that with vanilla V2.0 but I'm really just waiting on the modding community to update (if possible) their mods as there was so much more QoL modding available for V1.63 and it leaves V2.0 feeling a little flat and featureless.
There's quite a few visual glitches I've never suffered before (NPC t-posing is new in my 360+ hrs) and I really don't like the level scaling, where enemies now scale alongside the player, meaning in reality no-one really scales any more, which is just completely dumb and my netrunner builds are trashed with being "forced" to use Overclock etc.
Overall, with the limited amount of V2.0 time I've played I can only say so far that I'm fairly underwhelmed....................so far anyway.

I held off buying cyberpunk up till 2 days ago. Which, is pretty much timed with 2.0 release.
I've definetly being enjoying it. Taking it in around 1.5 hour chunks of play time. It's the first game I have played that really leverages my 13th gen intel and 4090 + 42" LG oled combo. I'd bought and built that setup but then just been playing old MAME arcade emulation on it to date.
I think the game looks great and I appreciate the effort that has gone in to it. I'm not usually a fan of story driven 1 player games but this is definetly somewhat interesting.
I'm not sure what was better about a modded older version of cyberpunk over 2.0 vanilla, so can't comment on a comparison.
It definitely feels "next gen" with the settings turned up.

I've over 200 hours in the game since launch and put 10+ hours already into my new play through as female V (previous was male) - Even though i 100%ed the previous play and just spent time exploring, I'm still finding new areas to look around in and enjoying re-discovering old areas.
It really is great.

I think I'm going to do this after Phantom Liberty, having messed around and re-allocated my points to get a stronger Net-runner build I've realised they've massively nerfed net-runners in general it seems. Loads of quickhacks seem weaker now overall and take a huge amount of RAM, even with the overclock feature. Need to have a play around with the different to build a strong deck. It really is great.
You have to rely much more on stealth but with the new police model in 2.0 I'm getting picked up for every tiny crime and then getting swamped Just need to get used to playing this way for a while to get the most out of it I think.
This has to be one of the biggest overall changes a 2.0 patch has brought to a game though right? It's almost like a new game. Oh and the car interiors, now they've fixed the driving dynamics, are awesome.
Had mods installed using Vortex and while waiting for them to update disabled them and tried to run just the vanilla game and it kept crashing, seems Vortex doesn't remove the files from the game folder properly, it's not like Mod Organizer 2 that keeps them separate.
Anyway disabled a few scripted ones and got it to run the benchmark and I see a 14fps increase with ray reconstruction added, going from 143 to 157fps. Min gone from 53 to 81 and maximum dropped from 225 to 196. So that looks like better stability.

They nerfed that arm rocket launcher thing... you can only shoot it once and then have to wait a decent amount of time for it to recharge.. lameeee.. When did that happen?
I'm still playing my level 50 character because it seems like there's a load of individual levels for me to still unlock, up to 60 for each one ("Engineer", "Headhunter", etc), which include some additional perk points in the progression. Not entirely sure what to do as I've already completed the game. Do I realistically need to start from scratch to have any hope of getting these all to 60?

You can add attributes to speed up cooldowns and gain additional explosion damage buffs etc. Basically you have "get gud" now and build based on strategy for the type of character you are playing instead of all guns go.
I unlocked Ken block's tribute car, it's a right hoon. Rightly so because it's called the Type-66 Hoon lol.

You can build up the attributes by just doing certain things over and over again to buff then up but I don't think it's worth it at this stage if you're level 50? It'd be incredibly boring for not much benefit.I'm still playing my level 50 character because it seems like there's a load of individual levels for me to still unlock, up to 60 for each one ("Engineer", "Headhunter", etc), which include some additional perk points in the progression. I have actually seen a few reviews say it's better to start a new character and play through Phantom Liberty as part of the main game as there's loads of benefit to dip in and out of dog city as part of the main story.
I never finished the game but did loads (all) side missions available to me and most of the cop spots. Will I just be able to pick up where I left off with all these changes or am I going to have to start a new game?
I worry that my build's going to be borked as it was hacking heavy and I read that they'd made that a lot less effective

Sounds similar to me. When you first load the game back up after the 2.0 update it's going to tell you about the new skill tree and prompt you to redistribute all your points. Before doing that have a little look online at a few guides/vids about what perks are best for a netrunner build. You can redistribute once for free after the initial one and then I think you have to pay each time if you want to do it again. It'll play very differently now, stacking quickhacks is a new thing which opens up a lot of possibilities. I've found if you go for a netrunner build you'll also want to rely on smart weapons as a lot of your perks will benefit them.
