Cool.. I haven't bothered with it since I completely cocked up the hardcore installation but I'll sort it out this week maybe and get back on.

I am Death, destroyer of worlds!

Or just Jinxed!?!

The French server has gone back to normal Dayz, because the admin thought it was abit too hard. *sign* I had 24 slot backpack again, Lee En (with lots of ammo), tools, a tent set up with vehicle parts. Hell I even had a tin of Beans and dog food! I'd only been on their server 2 hours at that point before getting called away to Eve.

Going to give 62.75.236.35:2338 a shot.

That last one is -8 GMT, but you do start off with cem lights in 2017. Hell it's even easier to run around Cherno as the zombies mostly don't see you and those that do lose LOS fast. Also no one else on so great time to stock up and be ready for evening *BANG! BANG!*

Stary? I figured Lucni was Vybor, took me a little while as the side bar where google normally says where you are, for example "London W2 England" it just says "United States"

Edit: Just looked to confirm it and its quite fascinating, good find smile strange how they obviously spent time researching the places, but didnt really pay much attention to detail when it came to the area and buildings.

And again : What I find really amazing, is that I could go there and know where I was going!

Well they tried to do better for ArmA III and look where that got the 2 devs hehehe! At least they are home on bail now.

Can't exactly say that fills me with any confidence!

Do any you guys play that Wasteland mod? It looks like all the people who I'd watched on Youtube seem to be playing more of that than DayZ now. Wondered if it was worth a go. Saying that I suspect I will still be banned from everything anyway lol.

I'm only playing Wasteland now.

Find it much more fun than DayZ - find it easier to pop in and out of and there's no being precious about the gear you pick up.

Plus you get to have a good chance to have a fly aboiut and use lots of different weapons.

I'm watching some videos now and it really looks good.

Going to need to buy a new cd key if I want to play it though, tried and I', still banned. I doubt I'd be able to get that removed, so it's probably easier just to do that.

Had I not been likely to have no job sometime soon (or be moving to the other end of the country) I was considering a TrackIR, it just looks fantastic, especially the way you could gradually look around corners. There's a lot of other games I like it would have worked with too. Will do eventually!

TrackIR has been a revelation.

I pilot lots in ACE 2 with only first person view and it's vital for accurate landings but also for spotting AA and enemy air.

For infantry and things like Wasteland. It's often a simple fact that 'who spots who first, wins'. You get so used to constantly scanning with TrackIR that you often get the jump on people and even if they spot you first, you still see them in time to get into cover, re-position and then fire back.

Had a go on Skyrim for the first time in ages over the weekend and absolutely hated the fact that I couldn't independently move my head around.

Wasteland is good, but there is no bugger playing it, was on a server with 5 people and that was the max I could find.

Are you kidding me? Filter for 'ARMA2.RU' - always packed. In fact you often have to spam the join button to grab a free slot when someone leaves at peak times. They also have a Hardcore server (#4) which is the best one - all I play now. That is regularly full as well.

The RU servers are well policed by admins and the players themselves.

Is this worth getting in to. I loved Operation Flashpoint and completely missed out on Arma, finally have a decent PC. Heard a fair bit of hype.
