Dammit, I've just bought a new PC that probably won't run it. Now, do I buy a PS4/XBone, or do I return the PC and buy a better one?
Neither. Wait until the game comes out, buy the PC version, see how well it runs on your PC, then maybe spend some money on a new graphics card and sell the old one on eBay. That's the beauty of PC gaming. I tend to buy a £400-odd graphics card every couple of years, and sell the old one on eBay. I generally get around £150-£200 or so back from the old one, making the cost to change far more tolerable.

Bearing in mind Bethesda's track record with glitches, isn't it a pretty big risk preordering for PS4/XBO?
2Gb release day patches are the norm these days, are they not? Maybe, maybe, they've learned from the bad publicity that FO3 and FO:NV received due to the bugs and won't do it again. Also, isn't the architecture of next-gen consoles much closer to that of a PC, and hence won't have to be tailored to entirely proprietary hardware and software?

I don't really see the point of pre-ordering now though, you won't get it any sooner.
No, but I'll forget otherwise ... I'd rather it falls through my letterbox than to keep track of release dates, then pop down to Game and be disappointed when no copies are left on the shelves!Digitalize said:
Honestly don't see the point in pre-ordering, not until reviews are out at least.
For me, no matter what a review says, I will play this game. It is well worth £40 to me regardless. There is not a chance I will not buy this game, I've been waiting a long time for this. For pre-ordering Amazon have a good price guarantee system. If you pre-order and the price changes during that time you will only pay the lowest price for that time period.
I have pre-ordered Fallout 4 for PS4 at £39.95. Yet today it shows the price at £42.85
I have had "The Division" on my Amazon watch list for ages now, The price for that seems to change weekly, it says that is now currently 49.99 but when I added it to my wish list it was 54.99.

By some margin. A self built PC to match the consoles would be at least twice the price. A shop bought one would be more than that again.
PC for me though. I already have a lot invested in mine.
It's up for pre-purchase on Steam. I think that has to mean it's coming out this year. £49.99 though - no thanks.

No, because the glitches will be patched, probably on the day the game is released. Most things have a day one patch now. Gone, long gone, are the days of buying a disc of a game that was bugged when it was released and being stuck with it like that. Baryonyx said:
