Whelp! Premium edition ordered and I'm off from 04/09 through to 15/09. I wonder if this game will actually get me out of bed early on those days? It's been a very long time since a game has.

I don't know how it will even run on an Xbox Series S, everywhere tested has the S series GPU equivalent to a GTX 1650 or Radeon 5500 XT. Both are under the minimum requirements for a PC.

Consoles are optimised differently than PCs. Doesn’t need to be running anywhere near the amount of background apps so they processor and ram isn’t so stressed.

Saying that, I’d get an X again if I was buying now. It’s a great thing.

I'll be watching the reviews here for a few weeks before deciding whether to jump, though then I'll just have a few weeks before the Cyberpunk DLC. My reason for the quote is this could be my limitation and already is with Cyberpunk 2077 as I get the same FPS at HD as 4K. Can't justify a PC replacement/serious upgrade for another year though.

I know. I had thought I would wait it out until Fallout 5 is released, but I may have a Playstation 7 by then.......... And X Box Z.

I bought an Xbox X for this very reason. I have had a PS5 since it was launched but as soon as I could pre-order Starfield, it sealed the decision to get the Xbox.

It's a bit like needing multiple TV streaming channels (Disney+, Netflix, HBO, Paramount etc) if you want to have access to everything.

Expensive but still cheaper than a high-end PC!

More official news, planets can be fully explored but they are in sections with loading screens between/opening new areas of the map by flying your ship to them. The whole planet isn't loaded in one go. Sections are Skyrim sized and can take 40 mins to walk across. Makes sense considering the details on some.

Join the club. I bought a new TV at the weekend in preparation for getting an X.

It is going to be an expensive couple of months!
