Forza 2 - the alternative championship...
Discussion
Thanks for tonight guys, had a whale of a time!
Unfortunetly, lag problems for me too in the first race put paid to a decent finish. But it sorted itself out for the remaining two races and i enjoyed having two very close races.
Lag problems of another kind (Mikey WHU! ) put a decent finish at Mugello out of the question but still enjoyed myself.
Here's to next week and the start of the 'terrible handling US muscle car championship'

Cheers for tonight lads, some interesting racing had by all I think!
Perhaps a quick reset of the router or something is in order?

To be fair to Mikey, I've played with him a few times before and like tonight I've never had any issues with him lagging, and nothing against you, but I thought (especially on the race around the 'ring) you were the only person lagging about on my screen! Perhaps a quick reset of the router or something is in order?
Yep, i'll put up my hand for the 'ring. It went really bad on me so had to log out. I think it's got something to do with my housemates using the internet at the same time on the same wireless router. Plus the fact i've got the crappy xbox wireless thingys. I'll just ban them from using it at 8 next week.
Right, updated the original post... yikes my head hurts now... Sizel, we'll give your slot to Redbarron, he was the only person who responded to the open slots initially and so hes got a round's worth of points (and mugellos last race to add to the collection) so he's already well on its way. A very very generous decision, im sure Red's very happy to have the slot and we hope you'll join us all for some mess arounds at a later date?

Yep, here here. Thanks Sizel.......it's a shame you had difficulties. But try next week and see how you fair then?Just thrown down a few laps of Silverstone International to see what it's like in prep for the next round. Should make for some interesting racing. Nice open straights, braking zones and some...umm...somewhat tight corners
To get a rough feel for lap times, the fastest I've been able to put down is a 1:33.581, but I think there's a couple of tenths to be made on that as I had a couple of sloppy corners.

I did a 1:36 - but it was the only "flying" lap I have done so far (G saw it...) Then I had work, something I have all week.
Will everyone please stop practising, its unfair, even if I had the time, its another track I am not massively keen on, so doubt I'd get many laps in anyway...
A quick observation is that lap times on this track, much like LS, need an absolutely clear track - its the fast sweepers that need the space for certain lines. Equally, there are properly tight corners, the likes of which will mean plenty of braking zone madness. It'll be an interesting one.

Two free space in the Focus Championship tonight available for any of you guys.
Just drop us a comment over on the thread and I'm sure someone will get you an invite out for the racing.
5x5lap sessions around Sebring is the order of the day!
TIA, Nick.
