Yep, I will spend the next few weeks perfecting my one handed controller technique!
On a serious note though my friend at work who had a baby about a year ago said his gaming time actually went up after he had the baby for at least the first 9 months as they couldn't really go out any more and a baby spends 90% of it's time sleeping anyway so I am basing my theory on hard evidence.
Sounds like a flawless plan to me On a serious note though my friend at work who had a baby about a year ago said his gaming time actually went up after he had the baby for at least the first 9 months as they couldn't really go out any more and a baby spends 90% of it's time sleeping anyway so I am basing my theory on hard evidence.

Bloody hell this is getting expensive...
£400 PS4
£40 BF4
+ playstation+
+ Battlefield Premium.
I'll say it again. Bloody hell.
At least it will be staggered - premium won't be out for a couple of months after release, if it's anything like BF3.£400 PS4
£40 BF4
+ playstation+
+ Battlefield Premium.
I'll say it again. Bloody hell.
Also, HMV are selling 365 days of PS+ for £29.99 at the moment and Sony are offering an additional 90 days free if you register a year's card before 20th September (this Friday), so that will reduce the cost a little.

Well you only "need" the PS4 and BF4 - Ps4 is £350 and BF4 £40 so £390.£400 PS4

Say you play an hour a week for a full year - 52 hours. That's £7.50 per hour. Not bad. And I suspect many will play rather more than 1 hour a week........ Then add in Fallout 4 and well, you see how cheap gaming is ??
Man maths at its best.
Sorry if this is a re-post but damn, this looks good

Pretty much, yep.
I think when they talk about levolution, they're not necessarily talking about environment damage, but levels evolving during a match through significant events.
So where the radio mast collapsing did little in BF3 (although it hit the helicopter I was gunner for today, getting it's first kill on me!), a dam breaking and flooding streets, or a warship creating a new dynamic on a flag is more profound.
On a smaller scale, the stuff about blowing the lights, or dropping a canopy to make a ramp should be interesting - difficult to see how much they'll actually be used. Danger is the little stuff is the preserve of map gurus, to the detriment to more human players.
Getting psyched, and that's after buying gta5 today!

Oh I figured you would be right, I just wanted a link so I can get in on the act!Agree with the guys on the other thread, the change in controls, particularly spotting is a pain in the backside. Having said that spotting was, in my view, in the wrong place on BF3 and I think the new place on the right much more natural.
All in all a good start I think, yes a bit too like BF3 but we knew that. At the moment the map feels quite constricted, but of course we have no boats, although the swimming is good and not a lot of people seem to be doing it so at the moment there are easy opportunities to flank. So will the full PS3 version get boats on this map, assume so? Will the PS4 version expand the map outwards? One big positive over the BF3 beta is the comms work so you can actually explain to each other how things work. Its going to be interesting to see it develop over the next few months.

Bearing in mind that launch is at the end of the month, how long will it take them to fix the bugs vs printing the blu-rays?
Also, does anyone else feel that Shanghai rising is more like one of the maps from single player mode mixed in with the apartment cq domination maps?
The blu-ray print may have started, bug fixes will no doubt be a release day patch. Also, does anyone else feel that Shanghai rising is more like one of the maps from single player mode mixed in with the apartment cq domination maps?
