Hope everyone has seen the GT40 onboard vid from Goodwood? I shat my pants about 8 times while watching it. The guy is a maniac!

Yes, it was absolutely fantastic.

It's amazing that he even set foot in a race car again after this, let alone have the balls to race a GT40 in the pouring rain at a track like Goodwood.

I remember him driving a Daytona Coupe at Goodwood in the rain a couple of years back in a similar fashion, just superb control.

He always puts on a show.

Legend.

Silverstone today was AMAZING! Driving MX-5s around the circuit thanks to Mazda UK. A pleasant surprise was that the event was running alongside a BaT trackday, which meant lots to see, and best of all - using the full GP circuit, not the international that I had expected. Rained before I went out, which made it more interesting. The track was dry for my final run. The instructors were great, friendly and helped me really push the cars to (and past...) the limits. Did feel a bit odd at times when the stability systems started interfering. Had so much fun harassing Porsches and Caterhams. Certainly makes GT6 feel like a huge step in the right direction, I can't wait.

Kenny Brack in the GT40? yikesclap

Just got a heads up about this from Flipatron over on Seloc. Would be interested to drop in and give it a whirl. We've been having various champs over the last 18 months but it's gone a bit quiet recently so need to get my fix of coming last;) How many do you have turn up for the races?

Hi Karlos, glad to see you found us.

If you have any questions with regards the championship just let us know. (oh, 7-8 regular racers, 10-12 on a good night).

Next race is this Sunday at 8.30pm, everyone's usually on-line for 8pm.

PVA, get that house finished and get back racing.

What flip said!

Gt40 is wild big respect. Everyone else wasn't in the same sport let alone race.

Glad you had an awesome day evo. I had a few encounters with oppo today - the roads were so wet hehe

Nick get ya ass back racing. Oh and six months and no healing, just hope it has by next X-ray.

Quick bit of info needed.

Is the MX5 TC the download version direct from the dealer? Mini will be second hand from used dealership?

I've no headset so will things like safety car become obvious?

I'm Binkyfoofoo on PSN.

I'll be back to ask more no doubt in about 10 minutes biggrin

Just found a classic mini in my garage, trouble is I've pimped it right out with top everything. I can't turn engine tune to 2 so can I just limit power and the same with the weight, can I just ballast up to the limit? No problem if not I'll keep hitting the second hand place to see if one turns up.

Rfactor?? Nah at least simraceway or iracing or similar - I loved rfactor just a bit dated now.

Me to mate. X-ray did show the 1st sign of some healing but gap still big. Dr is hopeful I I won't be counting my chickens.

On another note I'm starting to hate ios7.

worthwhile mentioning, avoid certain painkillers that inhibit re-growth, they're are some alternative natural supplements that had some pretty strong evidence to suggest that they help and obviously a GOOD diet high in protein.

I'm so out of touch with games, iRacing was the one I was thinking of paperbag what are these new fangled steering wheel things to?? looks like witchcraft to me scratchchin

Some great racing last night, the battle for the lead in Race 1 seemed to go on for some time. And despite the various strategies, at one point in the closing stages there were four cars running close together, with three crossing the finish line together after 40 laps of racing.

I was initially surprised I could keep up on the harder tyres, but I knew it wouldn't work out, so I stuck with my gamble on a two-stop strategy, running the hard tyres for just two laps, then stopping again on lap 21 for another set of softs. For a moment, it looked like this was doomed - at the first pit stop, for some reason the game would not let me choose the rear tyre compound. I left the pits with softs on the front, hards on the rear - I'd much rather have been on softs all-round. Thankfully, all they did was make the onset of oversteer more abrupt and more dramatic, the balance didn't really change. This did mean I could still keep a reasonable lap time, and more importantly, running two-stops, I could maintain that lap time right through the race.

This really paid off after the second stop; I was gaining quite quickly on GW after passing dice, flip and drcooper, but ran out of laps to close down gw's large lead. GW gave me some advice before the race which helped improve my times slightly, so thank you, although I'm still some way behind!

Race 2 I approached the same as Race 1. Thankfully exiting and re-joining the room cured my tyre selection problem, otherwise I would have faced 44 laps with a lively MX-5. GW and Flip had some serious pace - I don't know how their strategies played out, I was hoping they'd stop again but they didn't. I was just about matching/gaining slightly over the last 10 laps but I think they were on the harder tyres, whilst I stuck to my two-stop strategy, as the extra distance, and extra tyre wear, meant a 1-stop was not feasible without an incredibly long run on the hards, something I felt wasn't going to work.

Looking forward to next week, should be able to make it (week after looking questionable).
